Emily's Point of View
Well, this was one way to return. I felt so bad for JJ. We drove in silence to her house. I pulled up to her house and parked the car. I with JJ, to the front door. She seemed really shaken up, I wasn't sure if she was even able to walk on her own.
JJ pulled a key out from her pocket and attempted to unlock the door.
"It's okay," I said as I took the key from her and unlocked the door for her. Will was sititng on the couch with Henry lying in his lap. The T.V. was on low and Will had dark circles under his eyes looked like he was ready to pass out.
"Hey," Will said as JJ walked over to them. "Emily?" He said, "I thought you were in London."
"Was... Long story." I replied. "Hey do you need me to take of Henry, while you go and meet with the doctor?"
"Yeah, that would be great. He doesn't have to come right now and he looks pretty comfortable. Are you sure?" JJ said, obviously glad.
"Of course. I haven't seen him... since your wedding. Wow that was a while ago." I said thinking back to the last time I spent with all the people I loved so much.
"How is he doing?" JJ asked quickly.
"Actually his fever went down a bit."
As JJ went over and talked to Henry and Will came over to talk to me.
"So, are you just visiting or are you staying." Will said.
"...Visit-" I started. To be honest I don't know why I said that. I guess I wasn't sure if I was going to be here for long.
"Nice try. If you were visiting you wouldn't have said was when I asked you about being in London."
Oh oops.
"Yeah JJ and Garcia are the only ones who know I'm here right now. Rossi thinks I'm still weighing my options about it. And I don't know if the team is going to even want me back after all I put them through."
"Emily, you are like family to them, of course they will want you back. Well, thanks for looking after the little man." He said, looking at his watch. "We have to go, we need to be there in twenty minutes."
"Yes go, go." I say, walking over to Henry.
"Emily!" He said, "Do you want to watch cartoons with me."
"Of course! What are you watching?" I ask smiling.
"Scooby Doo!" He said excitly.
"Wow, I remember watching that." I say as I take a seat.
After two showings of Scooby Doo, Henry started yawning.
"Hey buddy, do you want to go to bed."
"Can I sleep here?" He asked quietly.
"Sure." I said. I could always carry him upstairs if he fell asleep.'
Despite what JJ and Will had said about Henry not being able to sleep, he fell asleep in my lap. I was getting up to carry him upstairs when I heard the front door open. I glanced at the time on my my phone, it had already been two hours.
I left Henry on the couch for a minute to go see what JJ and Will heard from the doctor. I walked through the hallway to the front door and saw JJ smiling.
"He's gonna be okay." Will said smiling.
I let out a sigh of relief.
"Is Henry still watching T.V.?" JJ said.
"No, he actually fell asleep, I was about to take him upstairs when you came." When I said this I could see the surprise in there faces.
"Thank god. The doctor said lots of rest for a week and he should be okay." Will said happily.
"Hey, were are you staying tonight?" JJ asked.
"Oh, I am going to find a hotel. I left pretty much in a spur of the moment..." I said. I really hadn't thought things through.
"Why don't you stay here tonight. We have an extra bedroom." JJ said. I don't think I really realized how much I missed my best friend until now.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Yeah of course." Will said.
JJ's phone buzzed and I saw her check it.
"Em, the team is back. Do you want to go say hi?" She questioned.
I told her no. I wanted to wait until tomorrow. The main reason was because I didn't know what I was going to say to my former team. Well, I knew what I was going to say to everyone, except Hotch.
