Lost and found

Once I woke up I saw Max, Rick and Jake all sitting together, weird 'cuz Jake doesn't like Max at all, Emerald was flying around and I was sitting under a tree. "Hey! You're up" Emerald said swooping down from the sky "yeah I am. Weird the guys are all sitting together, and not fighting, at all" I replied "oh yeah when I got up they were like that too" she said with a weirded tone. Hmm what could they be talking about. I walked over to the guys and sat down. "Morning" I said cheerfully "morning May how'd you sleep?" Rick asked, "Good actually. Shall we keep going we are almost there?" I continue "yeah sure" Jake said as he stood up, Max yawned and stood up too "okk let's go" I said. Emerald and I were walking ahead of the guys, we didn't really now where we were going, we came to a fork in the road, hmm reminds me of when we were in the tunnel "Max where to now?" I asked as I turned around... "Max...Rick...Jake?" I'm beginning to panic. Emerald and I starred at each other "where are they?" I asked "no clue" Emerald seem really scared, she looked like she was about to cry. "Hello?!" "Anyone?" We called out. We obviously didn't walk to far ahead or turned the wrong way they would've told us. Emerald began to cry so we walked over towards a tree and sat down."They'll find us, don't worry" I said with a scared tone... I could hear voices but they weren't theirs, the voices began to get louder and louder, almost as if they were walking this way. "Hello?" I said seeing if a voice would answer me back. "Hi" one of the voices said "who are you? Are you lost? Is your name Emerald?" The voice asked "I'm Emerald" she said "is May with you?" It replied "yeah I'm here who's this?" I asked, soon a man with ears and a tail came from the direction we came in. "Oh thank goodness I found you" the man said "aren't you the-" "guard from before? Yes. I came here to find you and Emerald, Rick and Jake made it to the camp we had set up for the campers we found, come with me please." He said cutting me off. We stood up and followed him. Wait he said Rick and Jake... Where's Max? Did he say anything about Max? No he just said 'Rick and Jake'. Great what happened to him. Anyways we walked for 20 minutes or so and finally came across the camp the guard was talking about, there we saw people we knew from the old camp, Dave and Danny, Jessica and Hannah, and a few others. Emerald and I sat by the fire pit to see if they would find us, considering this was where first met. Emerald and I watched the flames burn the wood. " I always loved the smell of camp fire" I said "yeah it smells nice" Emerald replied. We were really quiet. We were watching the fire when someone took their hands and covered our eyes. "Ah, who is that?" I asked it shocked me, the hands moved from our eyes, there stood Rick and Jake. They took our hands and pulled us away from the crowd "shh we have to leave, Max is waiting for us" Rick said in a whisper "where is he?" I asked "he's at Hugo's, we made it there but once we looked back you two had disappeared" Jake whispered, we all walked over to the Caf to get food for the trip, "hey look, love birds!" That's the voices of Dave and Danny. I continued to walk while Emerald Rick and Jake told them off. I glanced behind me and saw Jake looking at me, he ran towards me and asked if I was okay "yeah I'm fine, this place reminds me of where I used to live, I was called things like 'Rat' 'squirt' and 'love bird' even though I would be walking with my best friends at school. I just walk away from it" "oh that sucks, were you dating him?" He asked "no he's been my friend since I was little. Him and his sister Sammy came up to me my first day of school and we've been friends since" I said "oh really? I honestly thought when I first saw you, you looked pretty shy" "well considering everything that happened that day I wasn't really looking forward to leaving the only place I knew." I said. Emerald and Rick came over, Jake and I got up and we all continued towards the Caf. Once we got there we took our backs and put food and water bottles in them, then left the Caf. We all walked towards a cabin and hid behind it, we were told weren't aloud to leave the camp, we all made sure we had everything, then left. Max was waiting for us at Hugo's "do you know where Hugo lives?" Emerald asked "yeah it's just on the other side of a river" Jake implied. We continued to walk and came across the river the boys were talking about, it was moving quite fast, I was kinda scared considering I can't swim and if I fell off of Emerald I would be screwed. Jake and I got onto Rick and Emerald's back and we flew over, that's when Max came outside with a man "Hugo, this is May, Emerald, Rick and Jake" Max introduced us "nice to meet you guys" Hugo said "come in" why are we going into a random person's house? This doesn't seem right...
