"Hey Alice, come over here for a minute." Macy shouts out. Macy is one of my best friends and I'm with her almost as much as I'm with Tristan. Basically, if I'm not with him I'm with Macy.
I unwrap myself from Tristan's arms and give him a kiss on the cheek then walk over to Macy.
"What can I do for ya Mace?" I ask.
"Tristan's birthday is coming up next week right?" She sneaks a glance over to him sitting on my couch looking completely zoned out, while staring at the wall.
"Yep. The big 18." I lean in close to her ear and whisper, "I'm throwing him a surprise party. I'm planning on having the whole grade there. I really want it to be special. He deserves it."
She looks at me with a smirk on her face. "Special huh?" She raises her eyebrow."Ugh not like that! You perve." I roll my eyes and punch her in the arm. "But seriously, can you start sending out invitations and stuff? It's going to be at my house at 8:00."
"Yeah whatever." Macy replies. I give her a thanks and walk back over to Tristan.
"What was that about?" He asks."Nothing!" I tell him maybe too quickly.
"Nothing, huh? You know you're a terrible liar Alice? Come on, tell me or I may just have to give a call to my little friend the Tickle Monster!" He raises his hands and wiggles his fingers back and forth as if that was suppose to scare me.
"T, that hasn't worked on me since I was 7."
"I don't know, babe. I still think it will do the trick." I try to ignore the butterflies in my stomach I still get when he calls me cute pet names."You wouldn't dare!" I try but he starts to lean forward.
"You're right, I wouldn't." He sits back in his chair and drops his hands to his lap. But, just as fast he sat back, he's lunging at me and tickling my sides.
"Tristan Alex Mars! Get your filthy hands off of me! I'm not going to tell you anything!" I try to keep my face serious but my own mouth betrays me when it opens up and let's little giggles escape.
"Surrender and I'll stop." He yells.
I stand my ground for a while longer until I can no longer take it. "Okay! Okay! I surrender! Just stop tickling me please!" I give in. At this point, I have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard, and eventually he pulls away from me.
He looks at me expectantly and says, "Okay are you going to tell me now?""Nope." I get out quickly before giving him a quick peck on the lips and running out of the room to find Macy.
"I could hear you guys from all the way over here. Could you just do me a favor and keep the cute coupley stuff to a minimum? I actually think I might throw up." Macy gags and then rolls her eyes.
"You're just jealous." I joke. "Totally peanut butter and jelly right now. Come on Mace, when was the last time you even went on a date?" Macy just shrugs. "Let me set you up!" I plead.
She seems uneasy. "I don't know Al. Blind dates aren't really my thing."
"I'll get you a date with one of Tristan's friends! He's really cute and I think he's had his eye on you for a while.""I don't know Al." She repeats.
"Please! We'll make it a double date, we can go to the carnival on Friday and then he'll be at Tristan's party Saturday. Please please please." I beg and poke my bottom lip out while pulling my best puppy dog eyes.
Macy sighs when she looks up at me. "Okay fine. You know I can't resist those eyes." And then, the smile appears on her face.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I hug her tightly. "I have to go tell Tristan!" I yell and leave before she can change her mind. I walk into my living room to see Tristan just laying on my couch. I run up to him and pull his arms up so he's in a sitting position and then sit on his lap. I just wait there and stare at him, with a big smile on my face, until he says something.
"Can I help you?" He asks, slightly amused, with his eyebrows raised. I startle him by kissing him on the lips and then pull back with the smile still on my face."What has gotten into you?" He chuckled, but when I don't answer he goes to kiss me again.
"No! There's no time for that!" I put my hand over his mouth to stop him and he looks extremely confused as he pulls back. "We need to get Macy a date with that guy you're friends with!" I yell."Can you be a little more specific please?" He laughs with a toothy grin.
"You know the one on your baseball team?"
"Again, love, please elaborate?"
"Ugh! You're just supposed to know who I'm talking about. I don't know his name. He's got brown hair, it's like kind of wavy I guess, it's in a quiff sometimes, brown eyes, he's like 6 feet tall, really hot... Shall I continue?" I can see the hint of anger — or maybe jealousy? — in his eyes at the 'he's really hot' part.
"Do you mean Matt?" He grumbles.
I nod my head vigorously. Yeah that's him!"
"He's not hot." He says with an adorable pout on his face. "I'm hotter than he is right?" He looks up at me with hopeful eyes.I laugh at him and answer with a tone you would usually give a small child. "Yes sweetie, you're hotter than he is... and you have bigger muscles." I give his biceps a little squeeze and he visibly cheers up. I give him a kiss on his nose and he's back to being his usual lighthearted self. "Okay but let's get serious. We need to set Macy up with Matt. Tell him he doesn't have a choice. We're going to the carnival on Friday whether he wants to or not." With that, we snuggle up on the couch and make jokes about the terrible actors we see on tv.
Hello there! So as you can see above, Alice is played by Daniella Wilde and Tristan is played by Alex Pettyfer. I will update the characters list once I can get on to my computer.
Let me know if I should make the chapters longer, because I feel like they're too short.
Please tell me what you think! I'm open to any constructive criticism. Thank you and please don't forget to vote and comment! ~brooke331<3
