Chapter 1.1; Dogs of the Military

Here is the first chapter of THE ENHANCED. The beginning scene was inspired by Jurassic World and some characters have the same names but then again every movie or book uses the same names don't they? Anyways I hope you guys like this mini adventure along with my other mini-adventure :) Above is a picture of a Kunming Wolfdog

Dogs of the military can mean both literally and figuratively. Figuratively it means the soldiers who follow the orders of their superior officers like loyal dogs no matter if they're being screamed at, insulted, ordered around, pushed to the edge of hell and back in training praying that they'll make it long enough to have their treat of three square meals a day.

The literal term of military dog are the actual K-9 unit trained by military officers to help track down bombing sits, enemy hideouts, or even go into the war zones and take down some of the terrorists.

Now there has been talk to improve the K-9 unit squad by allowing wolf hybrid dogs into the military. Knowing what it was like for them being pets there was a huge debate within the military and government on whether they would allow the wolf hybrids to join the squads. The Pros would be that the hybrids would be faster, stronger, and smell twice as better than normal military dogs making them the ultimate military weapon. But dog and wolf experts have said during the debate that it's been shown scientifically that combining the genes of a domesticated dog and a wild wolf has caused huge problems, with both genes bouncing off against each other, their brains will switch between playful dog one minute and in a split second they'll turn into their wild wolf instincts and not hesitate to kill anyone or anything that is a threat to only themselves.

The debate went on for over a year and a half until finally it was decided that wolf hybrids would be allowed to join the military but with certain and very specific conditions.

The hybrids would be put into a separate K-9 building kennel than the other military dogs along with their own training grounds. The only time they would join the other dogs is before they leave for their missions just so that the wolf hybrids would get use to the other normal dogs hoping that would decrease probability of accidents or fights among the dogs and the trainers if they were kept together in the same kennel.

And so it was for the next five years, and it is here that we now truly begin our tale.

One sunny summer morning in June at the military dog training base in Quantico, Va. There stood a very large training space with steel fences surrounding the entire base and stood about 10-15ft high up and on top there were several trails of catwalks so that the trainers and workers could feel more safe than simply walking through the fields of this specific dog training base, plus this base was unlike any other normal dog training space.

This one looked more like a forest than your normal dog training course. With trees surrounding most of the training grounds, a small watering hole and forest soil covering all over the grounds. Soon coming out of the bushes was a small pig with a fake bomb wrapped around it's back squealing and crying out as it ran as fast as his legs could carry him. For right behind him were four powerful legs running and closing in on him. The pig managed to get out into the open fields and run towards his cage.

The predator chasing the pig would've continued running but a voice told him to hold making it stop while the pig successfully made it to his pen and it closed right behind him. Soon three more bodies came behind the current predator revealing four Kunming wolf dogs.

The leader was an old male almost around 10 years old with some grey starting to show his old age but he still stood tall and proud like the three younger ones which are his pups a boy and two girls. The four wolf dogs all barked and snarled at each other mad that they didn't catch their target and apprehend him but the voice exclaimed out again.
