As the sun rose higher into the sky, Marahute and her sons all continued flying across the Pacific Ocean and not once getting tired, the elves on the other hand were exhausted, especially Jackie, Quinn and Tauriel. As Jackie rested herself on her eagle she took notice of how close Quinn and Tauriel had become since this whole ordeal. As she expected now that it was all over, Tauriel's leg was in immense pain, but Quinn allowed her to lay back against his chest and prop her leg up on their eagle's back.

He wrapped his arms around her protectively so she wouldn't go falling off and allowed Tauriel to finally sleep while he kept watch even in his exhaustion. Quinn turned to face Jackie and could see her smiling softly at them with loving eyes, he looked down at Tauriel who was finally calm and at peace in her sleep.

He looked back at Jackie and with his eyes he admitted he was in love with her and he had an inkling that she felt the same way about him due to their moment in the cave just six months ago. Jackie smiled tiredly at them before shutting her eyes and falling asleep on her eagle's back.

Rocket and Groot also had the same idea as Rocket curled himself up on the eagle's back and Groot wrapped a protective blanket around Rocket and himself as they both fell asleep. Only Thranduil remained awake now as he and Marahute were head of the flock.

"You should rest too Brother Mine". Stated Marahute. Thranduil grinned and said.

"Did Aniu put you up to it?"

"You forget she was one of my ground subordinates before meeting you, even today we remain great friends. Plus we both know you when it comes to your children, she's told me you haven't slept in six months, that's extreme even to an elf".

"Maybe you both are right".

"Don't worry, I won't tell that the Great Elven-wolf king was desperate for sleep".

"You better not, good night Sister Autumn".

"Goodnight Brother Winter, sleep well".

Hours later as it was just getting to the late afternoon, Marahute and her sons were finally at the borders of Mirkwood. They landed alerting their wolf brothers and sisters as well at their friends that they were now landing at their homeland. Once they landed, Thranduil gracefully unmounted from Marahute and one by one each of his children and Rocket and Groot got off their eagles.

"Thank you again for bringing us home Sister Mine".

"It was an honor Brother Mine, I hope your children and granddaughter can recover from the torture they went through".

"They will, and I'll be there with them all along the way". Thranduil softly smiled as he watched both Quinn and Groot help Tauriel off her eagle. She then leaned up against Quinn for support then as they all gathered near their king, they all waved farewell to their Mother and brother eagles as they all flew away screeching into the sky.

"Alright you three, let's get you home". Thranduil stated to his children softly. The young elves smile happily knowing that this was all real, the nightmare they had to endure for six months was finally over and they would soon return to their home safe and free.
