Chapter 4; An Alpha's worry

Hey guys God has it been a long time. Spanish is really keeping me from writing anything, not just studying purposes but the online hw really drives me crazy. I have to do at least 12 assignments a day to complete the +50 assignments fro each chapter but thankfully I managed to take some time to sit down and finish up this chapter that I've been working on for weeks now and yeah I know it's short and I'm sorry but the next coming chapters I promise will be longer. Now I'm going to shut up and allow you guys to read chapter 4 of The Enhanced. I hope you guys enjoy it and again sorry if it's too short for your liking.

It had been six months since anyone had heard word from Tauriel, Quinn or Jackie. When it comes to military services, Thranduil had made it law to send out a mission report through the birds. No matter how long it would've taken for them to send a message, they still would've send at least a small message but sadly no word has come from either of them.

This made Thranduil very anxious. Without word from them, he feared that something awful had happened to his new children and first grandchild. For weeks he hadn't slept and every time he would send out a bird messenger, they all came back with the same response of they couldn't find them nor was anyone at their base camp.

Even though Elves can last without sleep, Aniu couldn't help but worry from the dark circles that were under her husband's eyes. She worried that he would soon run himself to the ground like Jackie did during her search for Quinn years ago.

One night as Aniu was about to retire for bed, she saw that her husband was not in the bed as always and instantly knew where he went to during the nights.

She ran out in wolf form towards the open meadow outside the woods, and instantly saw her husband sitting on top of a hill looking straight up at Manny in his wolf form. She ran up towards him and said.

"My love?" She then slowly walked up towards him and sat down beside him and Thranduil said.

"I was—seeking comfort from Manny".

"Did he help ease your mind?" Thranduil let out a sigh and stated.

"Silent as the moon. Manny would never—"

"Oh melamin," Aniu nuzzled Thranduil's wolf neck. "You always walk the path expected for you. Maybe you should walk outside your normal path".

"What are you saying?" he turned towards his wife. Aniu softly smiled and said.

"You're not the only one worried for Jackie's safety, I would suggest giving Rocket and Groot a visit come morning". Aniu then disappeared into thin air most likely back to the palace to rest. Thranduil took his wife's advice but he refused to wait till morning.

He got up and took off running back towards the woods and ran west of the palace where he knew Rocket and Groot had taken refuge at after being accepted after Jackie became the savior.

When Thranduil arrived in Rocket and Groot's small corner of the woods, he stood on top of a small boulder and threw back his head and howled. Soon coming out from the darkness was the tall Ent Groot and on his shoulders was Rocket Raccoon.

"Well lookie who's come to our part of the woods eh Groot?"

"I'm not hear for your sarcastic remarks Raccoon, I—I've come for your help".

"Hmm, no". Rocket simply stated. Thranduil softly snarled. "Now you maybe immortal and not need sleep but I however do which you so happily woke me from, so good day to you your majesty" Rocket continued as he hopped off from Groot's shoulder and walked up right to the Elfking's face. As Rocket walked away he was suddenly pinned down by a wolf paw and cried out, "Geez what is with you wolves and pinning me down like this!? If I were a bigger animal you wouldn't be doing this!"
