*Author's note*
Hey guys I hope everyone is trying to survive our finals weeks which I wish everyone luck on to those who are in the middle or just starting their finals ROCK ON THEM!! Anyways been a few weeks since the last update and we are definitely winding down almost to the end of this story just 3 more chapter to go and then we'll be done w/The Enhanced. Now be warned for some swearing throughout the chapter and other dark mentions come the second half of the chapter, to those reading this story I hope you enjoy it immensely :)

As the day progressed onward, Groot had sent out a secret message through the trees assembling a few well known resistance animals who had been working for years trying to figure out a way to finally put an end to Strucker's reign. With the message sent, all the had to do now was wait and see if they would respond back and tell them all that they know.
So when night came, Quinn and Thranduil were safely sleeping inside the warehouse while Rocket and Groot were outside sleeping but also keeping an ear open for any spies or alarms sounding off.
Just before dawn approached, Quinn's ear twitched and his head shot up as he heard something. It sounded like wires being tangled up around each other, plus he heard the sound of hyena laughter. He slowly stood up and quietly walked away from Thranduil and headed out of the warehouse and snuck pass Rocket and Groot who were still asleep and followed the sound of the laughter.
When he soon came upon a small hill looking downward towards the well-known snare-pit and saw hyena-jackals surrounding the pit all looking down laughing and barking out an alarm. Worried that it was some poor helpless creature about to endure the torture he and so many others had to go through, Quinn quickly ran towards the pack and with his new super strength he managed to fight off each of the hyena-jackals and send them off crying out in fear.
He panted heavily then he turned towards the snare pit and slowly looked down into it to see just who exactly had gotten caught in it, but when he saw who it was his eyes grew wide with fear.
Quick as he could, Quinn ran back towards the warehouse and woke up Groot and gripped his tree fingers with his fangs and growled softly telling the Ent to follow him with no questions asked. As the two of them raced off back towards the snare-pit, up along the roof of the warehouse, Rocket's eyes opened.
He followed the two of them and stopped at the hill to see Groot and Quinn at the top of the snare-pit. His eyes widened as he saw Quinn now in elf form crawling down Groot's extended arms.
"What the hell are you doing you idiot?" Rocket muttered to himself as Quinn disappeared into the snare-pit. Soon running up beside him, Thranduil stood in wolf form and asked.
"Where is he?"
"In the snare-pit" stated Rocket softly.
"In the what?!" demanded Thranduil.
"Your boy is either very brave or very stupid".
"More like reckless, I cannot imagine what Jackie even sees in him". It was then they both saw Quinn climbing back up Groot's arms and he told Groot to pull. Rocket and Thranduil watched with worry and confusion on just what Quinn was even doing.
But as Groot walked backwards and Quinn pulled on some of Groot's vines, it was soon revealed on why he was so eager to save the creature in the snare-pit.
