This is a one shot of the tv show Heroes. I wouldn't read unless you've seen the whole series. You'd be soooooooo confused.

Sylar bangs a sledgehammer against the giant brick wall surrounding the city in his mind that he's trapped in. He rubs his forehead after dropping the sledgehammer, starting to lose hope, starting to give up. Tears fill his eyes for the first time in a long time. He drops to his knees and Peter walks up behind him.
"Sylar.. I know a way out."
Sylar looks up at Peter and nods. This isn't the first time he's said this, but Sylar doesn't have any ideas, unlike Peter.
They head to the tallest building and Peter smiles, revealing Claire.
Sylar's eyes widen and he takes a step back, knowing that Claire probably hates him for all he's done. Claire walks up to Peter and hugs him.
"Death will get you out of here. It'll wake your mind up... And with my power you won't really die." Peter nods and looks around.
"I'll test it." He mumbles, causing Claire to laugh.
"I already have. Don't worry. I promise it works."
Peter smiles bright and nods, then goes to the edge of the building, turning to face them before he jumps.
"See you two there." The Peter falls back off the building and once he hits the ground his body disappears.
Claire looks at Sylar.
"I'm here to help you too. Of course you already have my power. No use in cracking my head open again." She frowns and turns to go to the side of the building when Sylar grabs her hand.
"I'm so sorry.." He whispers as tears fill his eyes.
Claire looks at Sylar once again and reaches a hand up which Sylar assumes she's going to slap him with so he flinches, but Claire wipes Sylar's falling tears away.
"I forgive you." She kisses his nose and he looks at her confused, then squeezes her hand and cups her chin with his other hand. With one quick movement he kisses her and she lets out a small squeak before wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him back.
After a few minutes he pulls away and looks at Claire.
"This is a hallucination.. But it's the best one I've had yet." He goes to the side of the building with Claire following behind him. He jumps quickly, not wanting to risk the chances of what just happened to go bad.
Sylar gasps and wakes up in the home of Matt Parkman, the man who trapped him in his own mind, and sees Claire standing over him.
"Come on sleepy head. Time to save the world." She holds her hand out to him and he takes it, for the first time in forever he wants to help save something.
