I Wish

The Smirk Club

Sam sat down and crossed her arms. Nora's hand was still on her, but she had no intention of moving it.  Nora seemed a bit surprised at the fact that Sam didn't move her hand, but had no interest of moving her hand either, so she kept it there.  Nora gave Zach a pointed look, and he sighed before he said, "Sorry for teasing you about the penguins." Sam gave a little snort at that, and the other three looked at her with surprise.  "You guys really are gullible.  I wasn't gonna leave you." Jasper's eyes widened as she said that, and Zach, who immediately noticed it, grabbed his waist, calming him down.  Nora laughed.  "That was quite a good act you put on there." she said, looking at Sam.  In return, Sam gave her a small smirk, and shimmied a bit closer to her.  Nora looked surprised, again, and smiled.  The boys looked at each other, and started smirking.  Sam looked at them, daring for them to say something.  They looked right back, still smirking.  The three were in an intense staring competition, not daring to move, in fear of blinking.  Nora watched on with amusement.  Jasper blinked first, groaning in frustration.  This caused Zach to look over, and the air on his eyes caused him to blink as well. They both groaned at the same time.  As they moaned about their loss, Nora and Sam laughed.  They exchanged high fives in celebration of their victory over the boys.   In the process of high fives, Nora's hand came off Sam's arm.  Sam was a bit disappointed that Nora didn't put her hand back onto her arm, but she didn't want to say anything in fear of making Nora uncomfortable.  Thankfully, there was an adult rapidly approaching the table.  Unfortunately, it was Tanya.  Everyone at the table groaned as she approached.   "Now now.  If you want to get your breakfast, you shouldn't be acting like that.  You should know better." Tanya said with a smile on her face.     The groups frowning faces immediately turned to bright, fake, cheery, and happy smiles.  Nora, not ready to be out sassed by a nurse, widened her smile.  "Of course we're gonna behave Miss Tanya-",Nora said, putting the emphasis on Miss.  Sam stifled a giggle at that one So little miss perfect really is all alone in the world Sam mused.  Nora continued, "You see, we're kinda crazy here Miss Tanya.  So I don't know how well we can behave.  We're just a little hungry." At this, a smirk formed on Jasper's face, picking up on the thread Nora had layed down.  "Oh yea Miss Tanya.  I'm real hungry." He let a dramatic pause follow, "For love!" At this, he whipped his head around, grabbed Zach's shirt, and pulled him in for a kiss.  Tongue and all.  Sam smirked as Tanya's face went from smiling, to disgusted.  Apparently, she didn't approve of any relationships as she wasn't in any.  Nora smirked as well.  Tanya struggled to find words before allowing them to go get food, as long as the boys agreed to eat food.  Not face.  The four stood up, still smirking.  Jasper and Zach linked arm in arm, and Sam and Nora side by side behind them. The boys shared a look, then went on a path that was almost going to the line, but not quite.  Sam gave Nora a confused look, and Nora returned it with a mischievous smile.  As they walked farther, a scream rang out.  The boys kept on walking, and Nora grabbed Sam's hand. Sam whipped her head around for the source of the sound, and found a guy looking horrified and pointing at the four.  Nora smirked, and pulled Sam in for a kiss.  It was quick, and sweet, but Sam felt herself melting into Nora.  Nora pulled away as the boy screamed again.  Sam still wasn't over the surprise kiss, and she found herself trying to figure out what Nora had made her feel.   Not fireworks.  But it was definitely something.... Putty! Damn.  I am putty in that girls hands.  Sam blushed.  The boy continued to  glare at them. "What?", Jasper asked, "It's not like it's a bad thing.  After all, gay is yay!" Zach laughed, and they continued on their way to the line.  As they strolled up to the line of nutritious, yet evil looking food, Sam wondered what Nora really felt about her.   I mean... It's not like she really likes me.  She could just have been doing it for a point, but I really liked it.  But Rose... Sam shook her head as that thought entered her head.  She was happy, and she couldn't afford to get upset over a girl in a coma.  She got through the line, and the four walked back over to the table.   This time, Sam sat as close to Nora as humanly possible.  Jasper and Zach smirked, and exchanged a look.  Sam rolled her eyes, and said, "You know, we smirk so much, we should make a club."  Nora laughed in agreement, "Definitely.  We could be the smirk club." Sam smiled, "The Smirk Club.   I like it"
