Bonus Chapter: Rena's Past

The next day. "Rena, can I lead?" S.J. asked. "How many times have I told you to stop pestering the leader" Kyoshi snapped. "Yes Ma'am" S.J. pouted. "Rena, can we stop?" Akoya asked. "I guess we can" I said. Everyone stopped and laid where they were. "Kane let's play!" S.J. said, pawing at Kane. "I want to stay with Auntie Kyoshi, go find someone else to play with" Kane said, waving S.J. away. "Where is Akitaoshi?" S.J. asked. "She's by the river with Kiba and Sora" Meka said. "Okay, thanks" he said said, running off.

Sora breathed in the air and smelled something. "Do you smell rat?" Sora asked. "No, why!" Kiba asked. There was a rustling near by as something appeared out of the bushes.

Akitaoshi and S.J. ran back to the group. "Auntie Kyoshi, Rena!" Akitaoshi and S.J. yelled. "What's wrong?" I asked them. "Kiba and Sora were attacked by a thing!" S.J. said, shaken. "It's all right, dear, Rena will figure it out" Kyoshi said, soothingly. We heard a rustling and voices. "Now stay down!" Kiba growled. "Are you okay, Sora?" Kiba asked him.

"I'll be fine, it's only a small wound" he said as blood slowly dripped down his shoulder. They came out of the bushes to us. "What the hell is going on?" I asked. "This thing attacked Sora" Kiba said, kicking the prisoner. I went to take a closer look. My body turned to ice. "That's Drake" I whispered.

Drake got up and began dusting himself off. "Nice to you, Rena" Drake said. "What do you want?" I growled. He peered around me and spotted Kyoshi and the boys. "Enjoying the scenery" he said. He moved toward Kyoshi and the pups. "Stay away!" Kyoshi growled.

"Stop trying to act brave" he growled at her, standing to his full height. "Drake, what are you doing here?" Akoya asked fiercely. "I came to get Kyoshi" he said. "No you can't" Kane said bravely. "Oh" Drake said. "I won't let you hurt my brother" S.J. snarled. "I won't hurt you two" Drake said.

"Leave her alone Drake" I growled. Drake looked at me with a cold stare. "Stay away from Kyoshi and the kids" I warned him. "Now what makes you think I'd hurt anyone, especially pups" he said slyly. I growled. He smiled. "Did you forget that we had pups once upon a time?" he asked.

My tail drooped at little, then shot back up. "The past is behind us, leave!" I yelled. "I'll be back for you" Drake said to Kyoshi as he disappeared. Kyoshi shuddered. Soon stars lit up the sky. "Auntie Kyoshi, are you okay?" Kane asked her. "I'm fine, c'mon off to bed" she said.

"You okay bro?" Kiba asked Sora. "Yes.....no" Sora answered. "What's wrong?" he asked, pulling his shirt off and looking for a new one. "It's what Drake said" he said. "What about it?" Kiba asked. It's got me worried" Sora said. "There's nothing to really worry about with Drake, I'm going to bed" Kiba said. Sora laid down on the opposite side.

"How come your not in a tent, Rena?" White Wolf asked. "I don't like tents" I answered. "Why not?" she asked. "A horrible thing happened to me in a tent" I answered. "Sorry to hear that, night" she yawned. All is calm and quiet again I thought. I heard a rustling behind me and turned.

"Whose there" I growled. A bunny popped out of the bush and sprang away. A wolf howled from far away, I couldn't understand it so I howled back. Arrroooo "What are you doing?" S.J. asked. "Nothing, shouldn't you be in bed asleep with Kyoshi?" I asked. "Hell, no!" he answered. I popped him.

"Ow!" he yelled. "No cussing" I growled. "Everyone else does it, why can't I?" he pouted. "It'll cause trouble" I said gruffly. "Fine then" he said. He laid down right beside me. "We should be going back" I said after awhile. "Rena, I have a question" S.J. said. "What is it?" I growled.

"When did you and Drake have pups?" he asked. I froze and looked at him, he stared back at me, unflinchingly. "It was a long time ago" I began. "I was young and arrogant, my sister and I were talking before I went off to fight. She was sad so I told her that I'd be fine and I'll come back in a year then I left. After a year I came back and everything changed. My sister told me everything, after a couple of months I met Drake.

We were a couple but he wanted to be more than that and I didn't want to. We went out and he got me drunk then we had pups, I gave them up and started on my journey." "What were their names?" S.J. asked . "Choven and Torak" I answered. "Thanks for the story Miss Rena" he said, going back to the tent. I looked up as the moon was just appearing and went to sleep.
