Chapter 17: The Real Enemy

"We made it" Sora said. "Everyone Ok?" Akitaoshi asked. "We're fine" Meka, Akoya and White Wolf voiced. Kiba and Kazuma waved saying they were fine. "S.J. and Kane?" Akitaoshi asked. "Auntie Kyoshi's hurt" Kane said. "I'll be fine just a little scrape" she said. "Now onward toward Rena!" Sora yelled.
***************************************************************"She told me that I should go to her grave" I told Fang. "Well, stop crying and go find it" Fang said. I started walking. "Wait a minute" she said. "What now?" I snapped. The necklace began to glow once again, as something smoke like escaped out of it. After that there was a Fang. "That's better" she said. "Okay" I said. We ran with me in the lead. I'll find your grave and avenge you, I swear on it I will avenge you I thought fiercely.
***************************************************************"Ugh, I hate climbing" Meka complained. "It's the only way to find Rena" Sora said bounding up the rocks. "Where does he get the energy do that?" Kazuma asked. "It's his love for Rena that drives him" Akitaoshi said. "But I'm going to marry Rena!" Kazuma exclaimed. Kiba growled. "Why are you growling at me?" Kazuma asked him. "My brother's happiness is mine to protect and I won't let it be soiled by the likes of you" Kiba said. Kazuma looked at Kiba dumbfounded. "If I were you, I'd listen to him" Ice said. "I guess your right" Kazuma mumbled. "Come on guys, not to far now!" S.J. yelled, excitedly. "Easy for you to say" Kane muttered unhappily. "Now, now, come on Kane, "I'll let you ride on my back" Sora offered him. "Really?" Kane asked, his eyes bright. Sora nodded. "Yay!" Kane exclaimed, scrambling onto Sora's back.

"What does it look like?" she asked. "It looks like a cat" I answered her. Fang disappeared back inside the necklace. I cleared my throat to get his attention when that didn't work I tried the direct approach. "Who are you and what do you think your doing to Terra's grave!?" I asked coldly.

"DON'T SAY THAT NAME!" the cat yelled turning to face me. He looked old with his scraggy coat and ears. "Wait a minute Chess!" I exclaimed. "Re...Rena!" he yelled. "What happened to you?" I asked sadly. "Oh...um...er" he stammered. "Last time I heard from you, you were gone and living big" I said.

"I changed" he managed to say, nervously. "Hmm-mm, well I'm leaving" I said. "DON'T GO!" he growled mournfully. "What now?" I asked turning back. "Don't.......go" he whined. I started to walk back toward him. "Mrrow hehehehehe" he laughed.

"Chess are you all right?" I asked, walking tentatively toward him. "I'm not Chess, I am Fuzen" he said. "Why are you in Chess's body?" I asked, my body trembling with anger. "Anger will get you nowhere my child. And to answer your question I took over his body because he was weak and frail" he answered. "Where's Red-Eye's?" I asked softly in confusion. "Red-Eye- Toratoni!" Fuzen yelled.

I turned to see Red-Eye and Silver, when I focused in on Silver, my heart dropped. She had fur missing and I could see every bone in her body. "Silver" I whispered painfully. She looked at me with her dull eyes, but that look made my heart soar. Fuzen flicked his eyes toward me and cocked his head. Hmm...yes.. I see you know Toratoni" Fuzen said. "Yes I do, and I will return her to normal" I said.

Fuzen laughed. "I'd like to see you try" he challenged. "Fang do you know how to bind Toratoni?" I asked her. "Nope" she answered. "I'm the real boss and not Red-Eye" Fuzen said, smugly.

"So Red-Eye was just a pawn in your little game, making me believe it was him, but it was you pulling the strings the whole time!" I yelled. "Yep sounds about right" he answered. I stood and looked him in the eyes. "I will put an end to The Ameriku Hitenrogi and free Silver" I said bravely. "Such fierceness in one so small and fragile" he said, his hand twitching. "What have I gotten myself into?" I asked myself, as Silver came charging at me.
