Chapter 66

Haley's POV

"D-dad?" Ellington stammered and my head shot towards him when he spoke and I felt all the color drain from my face, Ellington's dad used to get really angry and beat him and my mum. He was an alcoholic and a drug addict as well, my dad was only an asshole who cheated on my mum and tried to steal me one day, I was only like 5.

"How did you get my number?" Ellington asked as he turned away from us.

"Leave me alone... I don't want to see you! She's got a name and she's not your daughter!" Was he talking about me?

"Step near her and I will kill you family member or not."

"No we're not in New York, we're in Italy..." What? "Why should I tell you.."

"The police will get you before you can do that."

"I'll get you locked up if you-"

His eyes widened as he ended the call. "Haley.." He whispered indicating for me to walk towards him. He lightly tugged me away from everyone and started speaking. "When we get back to LA make sure you're with me or anybody else." He spoke and I suddenly felt really scared. "In fact, just stay with anybody at any time."

"Ell, why, what's wrong?"

"It's nothing."

"Ell please."

"My dad has escaped from jail. He's looking for us..." He ran his hands through my hair and I felt my stomach sink into an empty pit.

Gis arms wrapped around me and I hugged my brother back tughtly. "I'm scared Ell.." I mumbled.

"Don't be, okay. Everything's going to be alright, I promise." He spoke looking at me in the eye and I nodded holding him close.

"Boo!" Ross walked through the balcony doors, I gave him a small, worried smile as he sat next to me. I was honestly scared still about what happened earlier. Ellington's dad doesn't just get angry, he turns into Hulk. Only he's not a monster and he's not afraid to kill you or anybody around.

"Aw Hal, don't be scared. I won't let anybody near you darling and if they do I will kill them." Ross pressed his lips up against my neck.

"Just relax, I'll put your mind out of it if you like." He winked and I giggled lightly. "Not today." I watched him roll his eyes and walk away.

"Ross?"

I heard the door shut and I was so confused. Just because I didn't want to do that with him. What's crawled up hia bum and died today? I better go and see..
