Chapter Seven: A Special Day

I awoke with a feeling of excitement filling my gut. I honestly didn't know what day it was, or why I had felt so excited but I knew it was gonna be a good day.

I made my way down the stairs and into the living room area to find the whole team yelling "Suprise!" into my face but my brain hardly processed it since I was so tired.

"What is all this for?" I laughed walking down the stairs and almost tripping on my own feet.

"It's your birthday!" Megan smiled, holding up a cake with fourteen candles, marking my fourteen years of life.

I guess there had been so much going on that I forgot my own birthday.

"Wait, how did you guys know that?" I asked, I hardly known them, how could they have known my birthdate?

"Robin accessed your files a few days ago" Wally said nudging Robin..

Stalker much?

I raised a brow,"Why exactly were you looking at my files?"

Robins face turned tomato red,"I needed to-to find some information about Monroe".

"By accessing my files?" I crossed my arms giving him the eagle eye.

"Ohhh it looks like the little bird has a big crush!" Wally cooed.

As soon as he said that my face turned tomato red.

"Shut up Wally!" Robin grumbled giving him what seemed to be a death glare but I couldn't be sure since he had those stupid glasses on.

"Anyways" Kaldur stepped forward, "cheers to our newest member of the team. Cara!"

"Cheers" everyone said in unison raising their plates of cake up.

"Thanks guys" I smiled, "this means a lot"

I took a seat on the couch to eat the cake, I haven't had cake since I was seven. So this was quite refreshing.

"So," Wally said sitting down next to me on the couch, "How about Robin? He's a pretty good looking guy isn't he?"

I punched his arm.

"What was that for?" He yelped.

"For being stupid"I replied.

"C'mon" Wally smirked,"You know you like him"

"Oh my god, if you say that one more time, once I get my fire switched back on I'll punch you in the face!"

"Ohh fiesty! You're a little fireball aren't ya?"

I glared at him, not appreciating the pun. If anything, puns were my thing.
