Mia's POV

I hear the sound of my mom rushing around the house to wake me up. I was running late, as usual, but I settle with a striped tee and light blue jeans. I wasn't used to waking up so early, but somehow I was able to move fast and efficiently-- as if I was looking forward to school. I throw on a sweatshirt I own and sneakers and head out of my room. My mom already left by now, we haven't talked much since Christmas and I'm worried for her.

I actually make it outside to see that it was snowing-- bad. Annoyed, I shuffle down the sidewalk towards the school. Then, I passed T.J.'s spot to see that he wasn't there. I wasn't worried, on days like this he improvises. But, while I was looking over to his spot, I bumped into someone.

"Jeez, slow down," I muttered.

Two boys turned around of whom I recognized but couldn't quite put a name on. Their sweet pale faces turned to me and they beamed. One had very colorful hair and was just so cute and the other was attractive and had an auburn glow to his hair. He was slightly built, too.

"Oh, sorry! Hi, Mia!" the colorful- haired one said.

I played along, "Hello..."

"Minghao, shut up real quick, she doesn't recognize us," the other whispered, "Junhui and Minghao, but call me Jun. We haven't officially met but hi. We're friends of Woozi," he says louder and nods.

"We were just getting some coffee here, want a ride? You can't be walking to school!" Minghao said.

"I- uh."

"Alright, move her along to the car, Minghao, let's go," Jun pushed me along to their shiny grey car gently.

"Thanks. So, how was your break?" I said as we got into the car.

"Boring. I just had a shit ton of dance classes and then went to some lame family parties," Jun said as he drove and sipped his coffee.

"Hey!" Minghao jokingly slapped Jun's arm, "I was in those dance classes, that should be enough fun!"

Jun nodded and looked back to me and rolled his dull eyes. I smiled and looked out the window. Minghao stayed quiet as Jun played music until we reached school. I grabbed my semi- wet bag from the snow and rushed inside with them.

I spotted Seungkwan and waved goodbye to the other boys, who found Jeonghan and a girl. Seungkwan was listening to music and scooched over when I came by. We made some small talk and described how I've gotten closer to Hansol and he has to Angela.

"Look at us, getting that good shit! But, Vernon is eh," he said.

"He's changed. It's been like weeks! Besides, we're just friends."

"If he ignores you today, I love you, but I'm going to give you a big ass 'I told you so,''' he said and fixed up his shaggy hair.

I nodded and laughed. Then, Angela walked up to us and we all talked, but I could tell she was so into Seungkwan, so I backed off. I didn't really care, because I was able to find Hansol. He was with S. Coups, so I felt a little uneasy when Hansol waved me over. I looked down at my shoes and then made my way over to him.

"Hey, Mia!" Hansol embraced me.

"Uh, hi."

I forced myself to look over to S. Coups, who showed no emotion to me being there. Out of awkwardness, I turned my head over to Hansol and smiled and bobbed my head towards the emotionless zombie between us. He opened his mouth quickly.

"Oh- ohh, Mia, you know my friend S. Coups, real name Seungcheol, right?" He nervously smiled.

It was one of the most awkward experiences, like, ever.
