Chapter 13: In Lion

Queen Majikku had finally reached Lion, a small forest kingdom that was peaceful and quiet,that sparkled and gleamed as fireflies danced around it in the night.
When Queen Majikku arrived in the tiny forest kingdom they were happy to see her,though wondering why she came this far north, and immediately took her to see Queen Julissa.
"Queen Majikku, slayer of hundreds,what brings you to my woods?" Queen Julissa asked.
"Queen Julissa, the forest mother, I come asking for aid. My kingdom once again is at war,though not with nergoths."  The Queen replied.
"Pray tell,what foul creature wages war upon your kingdom?"
"Piksas your grace,under the banner of Pergoth the Smoke bearer." 
"I have heard of him. He burns everything in his wake." 
"It is true,and he has fallen back into old habits. He has started to burn my villages and cities and I worry that I haven't the men to keep them away."
"You ask for soldiers? You will have them. I will send my bowmen platoon. The rest must stay here for my kingdoms sake. It is reku breeding season and it makes them viscous this time of year."
"Thank you your grace." Majikku curtsied.
"Please stay here the night. We'd be honored to have you."
"And I'd be honored to stay in the home of the mother of the forest."
"Then we shall dine together. I will send someone to prepare your room."
"My many thanks Queen Julissa."
The preparations were made and Majikku was excited because the work on her end was done and she could return to her home.
"I hope home isn't to war torn. I'm sure Rebecca is holding it together well. I can't wait to see her. I miss her so much." Majikku thought.
She dined and went to her room. Her sleep was troubled by excitement and joy at the prospect of going back to her kingdom,even though it was in the middle of war.
