After four days Rebecca had finally received the letter from Islath and ordered preparations.
She did her meetings with nobility and citizens,and looked over new decrees.
When she had free time she sat down with Felix and they spoke of many things and just sat there and held each other. Then Rebecca thought she should try what the seer asked.
"Felix you know that trick I do? The reading your past thing?" Rebecca asked.
"Yes,what about it?" Felix replied.
"I want to try something with you...is that ok?"
"Yes it's ok. I trust you."
"Ok here it goes."
Rebecca touched his head and her eyes turned deep blue, but this time she pushed instead of pulled. It strained her greatly.
"Not so hard you'll yank part of his brain out of place. Gently gently." Naila instructed.
Rebecca lightened her pull and saw something strange.
She saw Felix kissing her in a tuxedo that she'd never seen him wear. And her and Felix,holding a child,but she didn't know the child or had any recollection of the event.
And then she saw Daku standing beside her in a dark blue dress, but she'd never seen her in any dress then the one at her birthday ball.
"Time to let go..." Said Naila.
Rebecca let go and touched Felix's cheek.
"What was that I saw? It wasn't a memory it felt...different...and I was in them and I don't remember any of them" Rebecca asked.
"That is one possible future you and Felix will have. The child you saw was yours,and Daku was wearing a bridesmaid dress." Naila replies.
"So we are together in the future? We get a happily ever after?"
"I said it was one possible future. If Daku should lose this war it will turn out differently you and Felix will both die and the child wouldn't be born. And if she makes the wrong choice in her revenge,she will not be standing next to you on your wedding day. Nor you on hers."
"Daku gets married? To who?" Rebecca asked eagerly.
"That's not for me to say. You will cross that bridge later. Focus on the task at hand."
"I will."
"Good. I will be away again. Do not be surprised if you don't hear from me."
The voice left.
"Becks you ok?" Felix asked concerned.
"Yes I'm fine... I just zoned out" Rebecca said assuringly
"Ok..so what did you see?" Asked Felix
"It didn't work...I saw nothing." Rebecca lied.
Felix looked at her and shook his head.
"You're lying to me. What did you see?"
"I saw a future where...got married and...we had a baby." She blushed
"Why would you try to hide that from me?"
"Because if something goes wrong along the way it won't happen and I don't want you to be disappointed or worry to much. You worry too much as it is." She held his hand lovingly.
"Don't worry about me you have an entire kingdom to run,and besides." He leaned in closely and whispered, "I want to see that future happen." He kissed her gently.
"Princess Rebecca! Princess Rebecca!" A maid called as she ran toward the couple.
They stopped their kiss and Rebecca sighed,
"What's going on Polly?"
"The ambassador from Asrith is here. He asked permission to speak to General Daku."
"Then he can have it." Rebecca nodded.
Polly bowed and ran off to pass along the message.
"Well it could have been worst,a village could have been raided again." Rebecca thought.
"You'd better get back to it. I'll see you soon." Felix said standing up.
"Bye..Ill see you later." Rebecca said sadly.
Felix kissed her one last time and went to the stables.
And Rebecca sent back to her royal duties.
