Estria's War

Chapter 25: Final Battle

Months had pasted and Estria was nearing victory. The piksas looked like they were on the verge of retreat,but it wasn't so. They were making room for more reinforcements.
Pergoth had unleashed all his armies at once hoping to overwhelm the war scarred kingdom. Daku was on the field fighting back to back with general Leroy.
They weren't driving off piksas fast enough and their armies were spread to thin.
As she fought off the enemy soldiers she saw Pergoth with his olkith.
"Cut off the head the body will die." Thought Daku.
"Leroy come on!" She shouted to him.
"Where to?" He called back.
"To cut the head off the snake." She shouted running toward Pergoth.
Pergoth smirked as he saw his hated enemy charge at him with sword in hand.
She stopped in front of him on the hill where he stood. Her eyes brimmed with hatred.
"So little girl,you've finally come to face me. I've waited to be rid of you for a long time." Pergoth said smugly.
"Well you'll get your wish,you'll be rid of me after you're dead." Daku held her sword in attack position.
Pergoth laughed menacingly,but it only stoked Daku's fiery hatred.
Pergoth picked up his sword and charged at the fearless general.
Daku dodged his attacks masterfully as she struck at his arm.
The piksa looked at his dented gauntlet and snarled,and then struck furiously at Daku who blocked almost every attack but one that hit her shoulder. Still she continued fighting just as masterfully as when the fight began.
The two continued striking blows against each other but to no avail either of them.
Pergoth called his olkith to attack Daku. Leroy had stepped in and charged the olkith from the side running straight through. Pergoth roared at the young general and charged at him. Daku jumped up and stuck at his back.
"Leroy keep them off my back! I can take him!" She shouted to him.
"Got it!" Leroy went down the hill and stopped the piksas coming to pergoths aid.
"Where were we? Oh yeah I was kicking your butt." Daku said to Pergoth.
He roared in reply and charged her down. She parried and dodged as graceful as a dancer. They continued this dance until Pergoth tripped over his dead Olkith.
Daku held her sword to his neck ready to strike a fatal blow.
"Daku Daku its me." Rebecca's thoughts called.
"Becks I'm busy right now." Daku replied.
"I know,I see you. I am watching from the castle."
"Then you know I'm finally going to get the monster that killed my parents and burned down my village." Daku's thoughts were tart.
"Just don't let your emotions get away with you. Keep a level head."
"This is personal Rebecca you're suppose to let your emotions run away."
"No Daku this is war. He just so happened to be the enemy. Keep a level head and judge accordingly."
Rebecca's mind had left hers and she stared in hatred at Pergoth and lowered her sword slightly.
"I won't kill you...that's the easy way out. You deserve to suffer. You are my prisoner from now until you die." Daku growled.
She stood him up on the hill with the sword at his back and shouted from the top of the hill.
"Piksas your leader has fallen! He is my prisoner any who wished to be spared run now!"
The piksas looked at the general in terror and their moment of fear gave Daku's armies a chance to converge and drive them out of the kingdom.
Daku took Pergoth to the deepest dungeon of the kingdom where he stayed to the end of his days.
