The break-up

**Kevin's POV**

Finally I'm going step out of this hospital and I'm going to school tomorrow. Desperate to see Darwin's face after he's busted. Lacey went home and the wierd thing was that she left when it was time for the school to get over.

Mom and dad came in handing me my clothes and I quickly got changed.

As I sat in the car at the back seat with mom and dad infornt "Do you know what's wrong with Lacey?" mom asked.

"Why? What happened?"

Did she...? no she would not know about it.

"She never spoke anything about her parents. I asked her several times."

"Maybe she understood that you are too boring to give answers to!" dad laughed giving me a high-five.

"Whatever" was all she said pulling her hands across her chest.

As we reached home I ran to my room.

"Oh my baby I missed you so much!" I dropped on my knees and hugged my bed.

"If you would have told me, I could bother to bring your bed to the hospital." dad smirked as he entered and sat on the bed.

I got up and sat near him keeping my head on his shoulder.

"I love you dad."

"I love you too Kev. And your choices too.." he chuckled.

"Tell me truly. How's she? I mean am I a good chooser? Or we can say am I good at showing up? Or am I-"

"Your the best child that anyone could have. And your choices are always accepted to us." he patted my back.

I was there only kid which sometimes make me alone and jealous of those who had siblings but once when dad caught me crying, he told me that life is a journey that we have to complete alone. No one will come with you. Success is never with you when you have your loved once beside you. They may become your weakness. This thought also encouraged for 'no girlfriend' system. But Lacey caught me and I stumbled.

"Lacey may have family issues but make sure you make everyone happy around you. Whether it be your friend or foe."

I dig my head in his chest and drifted of to sleep.

Next day I woke up and got ready for the school when mom entered informing that she will drop me to school and pick me up for back-home ride.

"Ask her out today!" mom smirked as she put the car in ignition.

"Mom she just got out of a relationship. Let her over come it and first she has to know the reason from Darwin's mouth. And yes she need a shoulder to soak her tears. I'll be there in anyway to make her happy."

Yaa, I told her everything while I cried. Mom knew I was a sensitive little boy but eventually I had feelings in me. Just the difference was that it matters to me a lot because I was taught to keep everyone happy while you are on your journey to your dreams.

"My baby boy grew up! I'm so so proud of you." she was excited.

When she pulled in the parking lot she kissed on my bandage, circled around my head, and departed me with a smile.

I stepped put and got hugged by Ben and Mike.

"Bro! We missed you a lot. How are you now?" Ben said.

"Much better! Just a bit of headache." I replied pointing over my head.

"I came to meet but you were asleep. So Lacey said that... Oh by the way Lacey broke-up with Darwin and she said thanks to you to open her eyes." Mike said.

"Yeah it was a bad thing Darwin did to her." Ben rolled his head away from us.

"Yeah and where was I? Umm... Oh yeah, she told me that I can meet you at school as you get discharge in the evening and that your dad is here only for a day more so I never came back." Mike concluded as I walked towards my locker.

There were plenty of cards and roses stuck to my locker. I was happy that I had so many fans. As I walk towards it, many girls screamed in joy and came running towards me. A crowd of seventeen-eighteen girls covered me asking me about my head. In that crowd someone touched my head and I shouted in pain.

"Ouch! What the hell? You hurt my head." as I shouted the crowd got a bit back. Suddenly soneone shouted.

"Everyone just shoo away from him. He's hurt and you're all trubbling him." it was Jenny.

She came through the crowd and came and hugged me tightly. Seeing this many girls walked away. I sighed putting my hands on her back.

"Thankyou for saving me from the sluts!" I smirked.

"I like to make girls jealous-s-s!" she dragged the word jealous a bit longer.

When she pulled away I saw Darwin talking to the crying little soul of Lacey. As I tried to walk towards them, Jenny cupped my hand with her fingers.

"Let her solve it first. She needs to learn about the fact and the reasons." I nodded and the bell rang.

I walked to my class and sat at the last seat alone and every teacher came and asked me questions. In all the classes Darwin looked out of the window while Lacey was not in the class. I decided to check on her when the lunch period begins.

And soon the moment came. I got up and walked towards the ground in search of her. As a result I found her under a tree crying as hard as she can. But before I got there Jenny took my hand and dragged me.

"What are you doing?"

"You need food. You're weak."

"I'm not weak niether I'm hungry. Lacey need me right now and she is my priority."

She smiled and handed me an apple. "Okay go! But make sure you have this apple to make you strong enough to atleast stand."
I smiled walked towards Lacey keeping the apple in my jacket pocket.
