**Kevin's POV**

"Everyone take out your homework!" our maths teacher said.

"Oh crap! I forgot it." I whispered as I put my hand on my mouth.

"Kevin! Where's your notebook?" he asked me politely.

"Sir I didn't do it." my head was down in embarrassment. The whole class turned to see me saying this.

"Dude your joking right!" Darwin turned behind to ask.

"No it's true! I was busy yesterday. But sir I promise I will never repeat this again and I will submit it during the recess." I assured him and he nodded as he moved ahead to Darwin's bench.

Oh shit! How can I forget it? My time was wasted yesterday. I gotta study hard now. It's only eight months left for the final exams.

"Out of the class!" the teacher shouted at the top of his voice. When I raised my head I saw it was the 'wierd couple'.

Both of them got up and once again rolled out of the class to enjoy themselves.

As the teacher was checking homeworks I decided to it complete in the given free time.

There were only ten questions. Opening my notebook I copied the first question. "Easy-peasy!" and that's what I murmur before begin it.

Within twelve minutes my homework was done. I got up and went towards the front desk keeping my notebook on it.

"Sir I'm done with my homework!" as I said he shook his head up in a surprise look and snatched my notebook to check.

"Absolutely correct solutions. This is what I expect from you all!" he spoke facing the class.

"He's a genius!" one whispered.

"He's a mastermind!" the other spoke.

"But also he's the nerds guy!" the bad boy of the class spoke making everyone laugh. I rolled my eyes and walked towards my bench taking my notebook from him.

Soon it was lunch and this time I was free from maths homework. So I decided to take my chemistry book and made notes on the ground. But this time making sure that 'no voice' was around me.

Sulphuric acid reacted vigorously when added to Sodium Hydroxide just like...

*slap* "I hate you!" a voice shouted from behind.

It was Sara and was shouting at Ben. Poor boy must have done something vigorous.

"Ben, come over!" I shouted and he came. He sat next to me with a sad look.

"What was that?" I asked.

"Nothing much! I just asked her out for the weekend party this Saturday."

"And?"

"And I kissed her cheeks as she said yes!"

"Ha! Dude! That was hard reply she gave after that." I laughed at the 'hand impression' on his face.

"Whatever!" he chuckled and then turned towards me. "By the way, you fine now?"

I understood what his statement mean. "Yeah sort of! By the way, I found a new friend."

"Lemme guess! Darwin?" he laughed.

"Shut up! It's Jenny!"

"Jenny Johnson?" and I nod.
"She's my classmate. Talking to her feels like 'who the hell is this depressed sole?' Although she is cute but some people don't use their beauty on studs like me. Anyways how you two met?"

And I narrated him the whole thing.

But as soon as he was about to speak the bell rang and missing literature would be my worst nightmare. So I grabbed my things and ran to the class.

Soon after that the day ended and I went to my locker. Again the whispers round the edge of the corridor.

What the heck? The unwanted people notice me but the one I desire for doesn't even care for my existence! What a terrible situation I was in at present!

As I reached over my car I saw a group of girls standing there. All were together-together friends of Jenny which also included Lacey.

"Hey girls!" I spoke as I unlocked the car and walked towards the passenger seat door and stood near Jenny.

"Hey Kevin!" one of the unknown girl spoke.

"So lemme introduce you to my best friends..." I cut her off

"No need because it's hard to remember these many names at a time!" I interrupted because I knew they weren't her best friends and it wouldn't even matter if I didn't know them.

"So shall we?I gotta reach home early today." I turned towards Jenny.

"Yaa sure! Bye everyone see you tomorrow."

"Yaa and take care of your leg! And bye Kevin." one said in a seductive voice.

"Bye!" and waving them off I got in the driver's seat.

"You see so many of my friends are after you."

"Crazy bunch of girls. Anyways, the one I desire for doesn't even look for me."

"She will if you let her realise that her company with Darwin will cost a lot once she got to know his true colours."

I parked as we reached her house. I quickly got out and helped her till we reach the doorway. I waited until she was in and then I got in the drifting back to my home sweet home.

"Dad!" I screamed in excitement when I got in the house seeing him stuffing sonera cake made by mom.

"Here comes my prince!" he hugged me and then handed me a box wrapped in silver paper.

"What is it Dad?" I aksed furiously.

"Surprise for your mom." he whispered in my ears.

"What's in it?"

"Diamond necklace!"

"Wow!" I whispered back.

He was the only person with whom I can share everything. Even a bath tub!

Man-ly advice actually helped me cope in my life. But this time I hesitated to tell him about Lacey because this time it was intense.

Mom was out for shopping and dad was alone in the room unpacking his bag. I reached over and sat beside him.

"Dad!" I poke him in shoulder.

"Hmm!" he moaned.

"Dad!" I spoke again but this time louder.

"What?" he was still looking in his bag and then set it aside to look at me.

"I wanna tell you something."

"Yes my dear!" he spoke softly.

And closing my eyes and crossing my fingers I flushed out everything. About Lacey, about Darwin, about Kiara, about Jenny, about everything!

It took him a while to absorb this but he smiled and spoke.

"Look son," he began "This world is not a wish granting factory that what you want you will get. But struggling for it gives you satisfaction even if you didn't achieve success. Never run after success. Do plenty of hard work and then success will grab you. This norm is also here. Do your best in being a good guy. Always be truthful to others but first to yourself. Go in your room and look at the mirror, see for yourself first. Think what you want, not what you have, and grab the opportunities to achieve higher goals." he hugged me and I followed his commands.
