**Kevin's POV**

It was a week after the party, or a week after my accident. Doesn't matter now because things are normal and no more pain in my head or in Lacey's heart.

As a normal working day I woke up at 5:59 am and alarm clock burst at 6:00. Just following the norm I sat in my bus and it drifted to school. Normal classes, interesting Julius Caesar and many things.

It was lunch now and still following the NORM I took a book and sat under a tree near the ground.

When the conspirators stab the knife in Caeser's body, with a whisper he spoke his last words...

"Et tu, Darwin!" a voice shouted distracting me. I shook my head up and looked around.

It was Lacey and with her was Darwin, smirking in evil mind, he replied,"Ah! I would love to."

To this Lacey showed an irritated look saying,"Go to hell!"

"I will if you led the path!" he replied walking closer to her. Much closer. More closer and finally placing his one hand on her waist and the other on her thighs. "Don't act as if you're standing with a stranger. I still love you baby."

His hand slowly moved up, under her skirt, making her uncomfortable.

"Don't... baby... me!" somehow words came out of her mouth.

"Oh really! My sweetheart I still want you." his hand further roam inside her top.

"Just stop.... it! Help! Please let me go!" she cried.

I jumped up and ran towards her.

"What's going on?" I shouted and his hand came out from her skirt and he pushed her down to the ground making her fall.

"You were the one to tell her, right? I trusted you and you betrayed me? How could you? Oh right, she's your crush. So what you will do what you want?"

Before I could turn to pick her, she stood up and ran inside the campus. But then my collar was in Darwin's fist.

"Look here you creepy freak! Now just dare to turn anyone against me, you will die." he left me alone while he walked off with a touch of anger on his nose. Standing still here makes me realize how stupid I am. I cannot fight for my love. But the main thing is, where is she?

I quickly went in the way she got in. "Hey have you seen Lacey McLaren?" I asked a guy from my class.

"I saw her climbing second floor steps"

"K' thanks!" I replied and went to the stairs thinking why she went there. There were a bit of labs, a conference room and some restrooms. Or maybe she went further up leading to the terrace.

The terrace!

I ran up to the third floor and opened the doors to the garden area.

I searched everywhere but not even a single sign of her. I looked down from every corner of the parafeet wall but still there was nothing.

With a great disappointment I slowly came down and walked to the second floor boys restroom.

As I opened the door partly, I heard some noises. I stopped at my position on the threshold still holding the door handle in my hand.

It wasn't from in here but the other restroom. I moved towards it and lay my ear on the door. The person was crying and I suspected her as Lacey. I rushed in, without hesitating that it's a girl's washroom.

The moment I broke into it the noise was stopped. A head came out from behind the pink wall to peep.

"Just go fro-" a pair of unfamiliar eyes met mine "Kevin?" she shouted.

"What are you doing here?"

"What? What are you doing here? Its a girls washroom!" she wiped her eyes and came out.

"I-I thought yo-you were La-Lacey!" the words somehow came out as I scratched my neck.

"Yeah she was here but now she's gone"

"Where? Do you know where is she? Is she okay? Was she cr-"

"Calm down! I don't know where is she? She just walked off after washing her face. She was so into herself that I was invisible to her." I turned around but again swing back to face her.

"Oh! Why were you crying? You fine?"

"Look I answered to your all curious mysteries and now just leave." she pointed towards the door.

"But you didn't answer this one!"

"Just leave me alone!" she whisper-shouted and burst into tears.

I closed the gap between us. Keeping my hand on her shoulder I soften my voice. "You can tell me Kiara! I'm sure we will figure out a way. If there's one!" I whispered the last sentence to myself.

She shook her head up just to see my furrowed eyebrows and within a fraction of a second I was trapped in her arms. My shirt soaking her watery tears.

"Kia! What's wrong?" I pulled her away and placed my hands on her shoulder. She was looking down. I pulled put my index finger and supported her chin to lift up. "Look at me! What happened?" I said softly.

Her tears were still streaming down but as I wiped it she spoke. "My father, h-he was a-a navy off-officer." she started as she sobbed between the words. My thoughts were wandering around the word was.

"Last night a call came from deck and the p-person gave the message that h-he died. I am the only one in the city who is aware about this. My m-mom is suffering from cancer and there's no way I can tell her."

And as the depressing lines ended she wrapped me again. This time I accepted it and wrapped my arms around her.

The bell rang but Kiara wasn't ready to leave my arms so we spent the next lecture in the second-floor-empty-girls-washroom. We sat on the very clean floor with my one arm around her and the other to cup her face. With the silence around we spoke a lot without actually speaking.
