My Girl

The next day I continued my search for Lacey. I roamed around all possible places where she could be.

As I passed from the corridor I heard some one shouting. It was from store room. It was like some was trapped in. I hit the door but it didn't open.

"Hey Kev! What are you doing here?" Mike spoke.

I gestured him to come near.

"Some one was shouting from inside when I was passing. Can we together break the door?" I whispered him realising that the silence covered us as the noise was stopped.

He nodded and with the count of three, we broke it and found Darwin. He was assaulting a girl. Her hair were all over her face avoiding us to recognize her. Her hands and legs were tied. And one hand of Darwin was on her mouth.

"What the hell is this Darwin?" Mike shouted.

He got up and pushed Mike harder but mostly failed because Mike is more strong. They began the fight while I slipped from the scene towards the girl. I reached her and moved her hair from her face.

"Kiara wake up!" she was unconsious by now.

I patted her cheeks but no response came. I quickly loosened the ropes of her hands and legs and took her in arms to take her to the medical. I know Mike would not need help so I ran away.

As we reached the medical I rested her on the bed. Nobody was there. I grabbed a glass of water and spilled some drops on her face. She responded. Her eyes were trying to open and I kept the glass away. I sat near her. "Are you okay Kiara?"

Hearing my voice she woke up and totally broke into a hug. She cried deep but couldn't manage a single word.

I heard some footsteps from behind. We pulled apart and saw some girls.

"Hi Kia! How are you?" one said softly.

"We heard that!" other said in whisper. I got up and stepped back for her friends to meet.

They hopped in the space created and I walked away.

Within a few minutes time Darwin had a black eye and Mike a broken nose. There were many people gathered here. Suddenly a teacher broke into.

"Stop all this! Is this a way to behave? Come with me to the principle's office." she shouted.

"Can I also come with you? I witnessed the whole scene and I can too explain." she nodded at my thought.

We four walked to the office. Principle, the fat lady, was sitting there with her arms crossed and watching the TV.

"What did you guys do?" she muttered with her big fat mouth.

"Nothing ma'am he started to beat me and-" I cut off Darwin.

"Ma'am as I was walking by the corridor I heard some noise from the store room and when I and my friend here, Mike, broke in, we found this boy assaulting a girl."

"Seeing us he started the fight with me where as he took the girl to the medical. She was unconsious when we got in but she is fine now." Mike ended our explaination.

She sighed and send us back except for Darwin. He stayed in for another ten minutes.

When he came out he had a paper in hand. He showed it to us. It said that he got transfer certificate. With this he gave me hard punch and walked out.

My lips were bleeding so we both walked to the medical. Kiara was still there. I took the first aid box. She got up and ran to us. "You guys okay?"
