My heart beat in my throat when we followed Hoseok through hidden pathways of the building.
I wondered how he knew about these paths.
The water is still pouring on us and Jin supported me when I was too tired from all the running.
We heard people screaming from above us and the safety alarm went off.
"Close all gates! I repeat. Eight people escaped. Close all gates!"
Jimin laughed and looked at Jungkook.
"This is awesome,"
Jungkook nodded. Then we stopped when Hoseok turned around.
"Here it is. There's a small gap and we need to go through this one by one. I shall go first," he told us.
We all nodded and Namjoon put his hand on my shoulder.
"Go second. We'll follow you."
I nodded and bent down to go through the small gap. Crawling on my knees, I followed Hoseok out with the others crawling behind me.
When I felt cold air brushing my cheek, I gasped. We were almost there.
Hoseok pushed off the metal fence and climbed out.
Pulling himself up, he held him strongly against the metal fence and looked at me. I crawled a bit further and flinched when I didn't feel something underneath my hand.
Suga who was right after me, grabbed my jacket and pulled me back before I could fall.
"Watch it," Hoseok said.
I looked back at Yoongi and he smiled.
"Careful,"
I nodded and turned to Hoseok who stuck out his hand.
"I want you to climb up and help the others get up from above." He ordered.
I nodded and grabbed his hand and he helped me on the fence.
Putting his arm around my waist to secure me, Jimin shot him a jealous glare.
I climbed up to the solid ground and checked if there was no one. When I was safe, I bent down and stuck out my hand to help the others.
Suga was the first one to come up, and Jimin followed. Then he took over my place and helped the others as he was stronger.
When we finally all gathered on the solid ground, I looked around. The view was beautiful and from afar, I saw the building of the institute.
People were standing outside and looking for us.
I looked at Yoongi and he put his arm around my shoulders.
"We finally escaped. All thanks to you!" He told me. I smiled and turned to Jungkook.
It was actually him that helped me fight my dad. If he never told me to come back, I would have just killed myself like how my dad had planned.
Jungkook eyed me with a weak smile, before turning away to Namjoon who was going to talk.
"Let's go to a safer place. I remember that there was an abandoned petrol station not far from here. We can hide there in the meantime,"
We all nodded and I followed the group.
"Woah freedom is nice. So this is the world outside that place." Hoseok screamed.
Jungkook screamed too and jumped up and down from excitement.
"We should get to Busan. They will never find us," Jungkook said.
"Or Daegu," Taehyung added.
Yoongi smirked and patted his shoulder. "Yes, our hometown!"
When we reached the petrol station at night, Namjoon kicked in the door of the closed shop. Glass were heard shattering and he soon returned with food that was luckily still good. He fetched Hoseok and Yoongi some beer and sat down.
Clicking it open, he gulped a lot and let out a satisfied groan.
"I haven't tasted it for soo long,"Jungkook came back with ice cream and gave us each one.
Jimin walked over and sat down with me.
"Thanks for helping us." He told me, and it was sincere.
I smiled and shook my head.
"It's the least I can do," I muttered.
He frowned, and looked at me confused. Jin and Taehyung returned from behind the station and smiled.
"Let's go to the garage. We collected some stuff to sleep on and some wood to keep us warm."
Yoongi stood up and stuck out his hand from excitement.
"INFIRES BABY!"
We head to the garage and sat down on some old furniture and tires.
Yoongi dripped some petrol on the woods and with one touch of his lighter, the flame went up and started a bonfire.
I sat down and two people soon joined me on the old couch.
Taehyung put an arm around me as a friendly gesture and Hoseok smiled brightly.
They were all laughing and enjoying their moment of youth and freedom.
It was a great feel.
Jin fixed us all drinks and we raised our cans.
"Thanks to Sarang, we escaped!" Namjoon shouted. We all shouted and nudged the cans against each other.
Taking a sip, Hoseok turned to me.
"Right, what happened to you during interrogation to end up escaping?" He asked me.
My smile fell a bit when I realized that they didn't know anything.
I wondered if I should tell them, but seeing them so happy, I didn't want to ruin it.
"Nothing," I muttered. "I was just sick of it,"
Hoseok smiled and ruffled my hair. He brought my head closer to put our heads against each other.
"She's really a great addition to our family. Amazing!" He laughed.
Taehyung laughed too and put his head on my shoulder and watched the fire.
"How about we tell a story?" Jimin asked.
We all nodded and looked at him with excitement. Jimin eyed me with a smirk and started to tell.
