Chapter five: So much easier when your little

Samantha’s Pov.

I was last to wake up except for Eddie the next morning. I had a terrible headache and every loud noise made me want to throw up. I had to use my acting skills to hide it from Issy and Daniel.

“Morning Samantha!” Hugh chimed from the kitchen where he Amanda, and Aaron were cooking. I smiled weakly and dropped onto the couch next to Anne.

“I see you had some fun last night?”

I groaned and looked into the kitchen again. Amanda was cooking pancakes with Aaron. The two kept throwing flour at each other and being adorable. I sighed and ignored them as Amanda teased Aaron’s cooking skills. I felt bad I had ignored Aaron all night but why did he have to ignore me? He didn’t even make an effort. Amanda gets all the guys…. What are you even saying Sam?!!! Stop it! I looked at Anne who was now tweeting on her phone.

“Where’s Russell?” I asked, noticing we were missing someone.

“Out on a run!” Hugh added. I nodded. “Maybe I will go for a run to! Might be nice. Then I could check up with him!”

“But Sam! Breakfast is almost ready!” Amanda called as I went to get my Nike trainers. I shrugged at her as she poured Issy orange juice.

“Not that hungry!” I replied not looking at her in the eye. Amanda looked at me funny for a minute before I left out the front door but then went back to teaching Issy how to cook and making fun of how Aaron flips pancakes.

I jogged down the street till I saw Russell and speeded up towards him.

“Hey Russell!”

“Sammy! What are you doing here? I thought you would be kind of tired and hangover from last night.”

“Yeah I was but I needed to get out of the house.”

“You guys all got home pretty late. You got home safe right?”

“Yeah Amanda and Aaron managed to stay sober.” I answered as we entered a park.

“Wow! Amanda didn’t drink?!! That surprises me! I guess Aaron will do whatever Amanda does.”

“What do you mean Russell?”

“Well I think Aaron might like Amanda. He is always looking at her. But the thing is I think Amanda likes Eddie. So it couldn’t work out. Amanda needs to open her eyes though and see that Eddie is dating Hannah! Gosh kids are so difficult these days! Your younger than them and your still more mature then them!”

“Thanks….” If only Russell knew what and how I really felt. So Aaron likes Amanda now. I can’t leave America after the awards. They both live here and if Amanda finally gives up on Eddie…. Who knows what will happen… the rest of the way home we ran in silence and I thought about what Russell had said.

Amanda’s Pov

I was washing dishes with Eddie and Annie when Sam and Russell came through the doors drenched in sweat.

“Hey guys! Want some breakfast?” I asked the two as they took of their shows. They both nodded and sank back into the chairs.  Just then Aaron walked through and Sam lit up. I giggled and thought, ‘they would be so cute…’ Aaron walked over and tried to annoy me.

“Yeah guys! Go ahead and let Amanda make you the worst pancakes ever! Mine are so much better!”

“No they weren’t!” I giggled as Aaron lifted me up from behind and twirled me around.

“Put me down Tveit!” I shouted but my wish wasn’t granted. Issy and Daniel joined in and tickled my toes.

“Here Eddie mate! Let’s play toss the Amanda!” Aaron was cackling with laughter as he threw me into the air and into Eddie’s arms. I blushed as Eddie held me close for a minute.

“Eddie! If you have any respect for me! You will put me down this instant!” Eddie smiled and nodded. He set my feet on the ground and Aaron was left rolling his eyes. “Your no fun!” Aaron marched off like a sad little boy and sat on the couch with Daniel. I laughed to myself as I made Sam and Russell food. All morning Sam was eyeing me as I went about my day. Around ten I realized I was taking Dan and Issy around L.A today with Eddie.

“Edward! Isabelle! Daniel! Are you guys ready?” I called from the front door. The three emerged from the hallway and I guided them out of my house and into the car.

We speeded through the streets and finally parked to walk around. Daniel and Isabelle were up ahead and peering into windows of stores. I laughed at the two about how youthful and free they were. Daniel and Issy were a perfect little match and we all knew it. Eddie popped up by my side and smiled at me.

“It’s such a nice day!”

“I know! So Manda, do you like Aaron?”

“What! No! Why? Aaron likes Sam and Sam likes Aaron it is destiny. Ha-ha I am just Aaron’s wingman for Sam…”

“Oh well Sam thinks you and Aaron like each other.”

“Is she crazy? No! God no! They are both to close to me, and I would never get between them.”

“Oh well I would tell Sam you don’t soon because I think she thinks you do and she may or may not be mad at you…”

‘Oh no! This is so bad!” I murmured. “Ugh. Leave it to me to mess things up. I bet that’s why Sam was ignoring Aaron last night….”

“And about last night…” Eddie trailed off.

“Yes?”

“Well I was super drunk and I kind of kissed Sam. Or well Sam kissed me to make Aaron jealous but he didn’t look cause he was talking to you.”

“Oh. Did you kiss her back?” Sam has to be joking! She knows I like him. My face was starting to heat with anger. “Yeah… but I was drunk…” he mumbled.

I had tried to be with Eddie sense the first time I met him and sang with him. But now Sam just kisses him and he kisses him back in just one night?! That isn’t fare.

“Oh ok… um… I am going to go take Daniel and Issy into that candy shop…” I quickly excused and rushed to the two kids who were engrossed in conversation and practically dragged them into the candy shop. We spent about an hour picking out flavors. I tried to forget about everything that Eddie said and enjoy the day but deep inside I had never felt so sad.

Eddie’s Pov

We were in a park and Issy and Daniel and I were playing Frisbee. I looked over to see Amanda sitting on a bench eating sour patch kids and watching us. I ambled over to her and greeted her with a warm smile. She normally warms any heart but she seemed upset. When she saw me sit down she scooted over and continued eating.

“Amanda, are you ok?”

“Yeah I am fine!”

“Come on! It is me! Eddie!”

“I am fine Eddie!” with that she got up and walked off to look at the pond. I watched her leave and bowed my head to the ground. Manda and I were fine this morning! I was thinking about what I could have done to make her upset when I heard an ear piercing scream. Quickly I looked up to find Amanda held captive, and nearly choking to death. A big man about twice my size was holding her neck and waist, and cutting her with a knife when she screamed. I gasped in horror and Issy and Daniel screamed. “Dan, Issy! Go to that candy store and wait in there.” They did as I said and scampered off.

I ran up behind the man and kicked him hard. He whimpered for a moment enough to let go of Amanda. Then he turned on me and he didn’t look happy. I swerved to punch’s but the third one hit me hard in the face giving me a black eye. Amanda was sitting on the ground trying to regain focus and cover up her gash’s so they wouldn’t ooze too much blood. The last thing I saw was Amanda lying weakly on the ground before I blacked out.
