Chapter Twelve: London Bound

Amanda’s Pov

I decided to be productive when I woke up and actually pack. Mine and Eddie’s flight was around midnight tonight which wasn’t the greatest but it meant more time to hang out with everyone today. Annie wanted to do something special with me, so we put on our running shoes and set out on a walk with Finn to get coffee.

“How are you Amanda?” she asked. “I feel like I haven't really talked to you alone in a while.”

“I’m ok…. To be honest Annie, I am kind of worried about this London trip. Hannah never liked that Eddie and I were friends. In fact there have been numerous times were they have almost broken up due to our friendship…. I just don’t want to mess anything up.”

She pulled me into a hug and sat me on the bench. “Oh sweetie! You could never mess anything up! I love Eddie to pieces but he doesn’t realize that the girl he is dating has some big jealousy problems he needs to deal with. But I know Eddie cares about you more than anything in the world, and he wouldn’t ask you to come unless he needs you. it will be ok!” she finished. I smiled at her and leaned my head on her shoulder. “Will you take care of Finn?”

“Of course dear!” she answered as we got up again to get some coffee.

“And you and Aaron?....” she asked, a little hesitantly as we stood in line at a coffee window.

“Oh…. Its ok I guess. I mean we were really mad at each other and he still ignores me but I understand why, and he is nice around me and everything. He seems like he likes Sam more now. So it’s fine.”

“Your too sweet. He will come around soon and talk to you. He is probably just trying to give you space.”

“Yeah I guess so.” I finished, as I sipped my latte.

“Why don’t we all go out for dinner tonight to say goodbye to you two?” she asked. I nodded excitedly.

“Yes! I am going to miss you all so much!”

“I know! I will miss you two too. But it will be good for you and Eddie to have some alone time. And presides, I will see you in like a week and a half!”

“Oh Annie! I love you so much!”

“Love you too my beautiful daughter!” we walked back home to my house in full swing. Eddie was in his room packing, and everyone else was milling around the house. Issy, Daniel, and Aaron, and Hugh were running around outside. Sam had her feet in my hot tube, and Russell was talking on the phone.

“There you two are!” Hugh called, from where he stood with Issy in his arms as he dangled the poor girl by her waist.

“Ha-ha what’s going on here?!” Annie shrieked, running to the little girl and grabbing her away from Hugh. Hugh laughed and ran after them. Daniel sat on the steps, and I made my way over to him and sat down. “Hey Dan!” I said, looping my arm around the boy. He looked at me and smiled, leaning his head on my shoulder.

“Amanda, I don’t want you to leave.” He said, in a quiet voice.

“Awe Daniel! I’ll be back before you know it!”

“Be honest Amanda, do you like Eddie?”

“To be honest, I sometimes do. but he is dating Hannah and she is lovely but yeah I guess sometimes I do. don’t tell anyone ok?” the boy grinned and nodded.

“I knew it!”

“Ha-ha no! My secret is revealed!”

“Well don’t worry about Aaron ok? He will come around. It kills him that you are with Eddie so I think he is trying to ignore you for a little bit while he focuses on Sam. But how could he not love you?”
