Michael and Carlos were just coming into Carlos' huge two storied house. Michael was very astonished by Carlos' beautiful home.
"Wow!" Michael marveled at Carlos' house. "Your house is amazing!"
"Thanks!" Carlos said as he put his and Michael's coats up on a coat rack. "¡Mamá! ¡Papa! Ya estoy en casa! Y me trajo un amigo!" ("Mom! Dad! I'm home! And I brought a friend!")
"Ugh! It smells like wet dog in here!" Michael said as he held his nose.
"Is there a problem with that?" A female voice asked. The voice came from a woman who was in a blue bikini wrapped in a towel on the steps. The woman went downstairs and went to Carlos. "Hola, mijo. Who's your friend?"
"Mamá, this is my new friend, Michelangelo Von Stein." Carlos introduced Michael to his mom.
"Michelangelo!" Carlos' mother exclaimed in joy. "Well, welcome! My name is Henrietta Sanchez. Make yourself at home! Mí casa es su casa."
"Speaking of mí casa es su casa," Carlos said as he held his mom's arms around him. "Can Michael stay here for a little while?"
"We'll talk about it during dinner." Henrietta then turned to Michael. "Will you be staying for dinner, Michael?"
"Yes, ma'am." Michael answered.
"Good! Well, go wash up and get ready for dinner." Henrietta said to the boys then kissed Carlos on the cheek and left.
Suddenly, as the boys went to the bathroom to wash their hands, a young girl who was older than the boys stomped out of her room.
"¡Mamá! ¡Mamá!" The girl screamed. "Diego es... Well hello, new kid!" She then ran over to Carlos to ask more about Michael. "Who's he?"
"This is my new friend Michelangelo Von Stein." Carlos said.
"Oh, well you're a cute kid," She said to Michael.
"Uh... thanks." Michael said. "But you can call me Michael."
"Okay. Well how old are you, Michael?" The girl asked.
"Eighty-eight years old." Michael said.
"Eighty-eight years old?! You're too young for me!" The girl exclaimed.
"Aw, lay off of it, Alysia!" Carlos said to the girl. "You might be my older sister, but you're only one hundred and two years old! You're barely a teen!"
"Well, you lay off!" Alysia shouted. "Just know that if your friend isn't a werewolf like us, mom and dad are going to kill you!" Alysia turned to Michael. "Are you a werewolf?"
"No, I'm not." Michael honestly said.
"Ha! He's not even a werewolf!" Alysia laughed. "You're dead! And I can't wait to see your funeral!"
"Well, you need to shut up and stay out my face, Alysia!" Carlos fussed in his sister's face in Spanish.
"Well stay out of my face idiot and there wouldn't be no problem!" Alysia fussed back in Spanish.
As Alysia and Carlos continued fussing back and forth in Spanish, Michael was even more confused and amazed at the same time.
"Okay, okay, okay!" Alysia continued in Spanish. "Your friend is not a werewolf and mom and dad are going to kill you, whatever!! End of discussion!! Now, where is mom?!"
"In the pool house," Carlos answered in English.
"Thank you." Alysia said before she started walking off. "Mamá! Diego is messing with my stuff again!"
A boy younger than Alysia but older than Carlos and Michael suddenly came out of another room and ran in the same direction Alysia walked off to.
"No I'm not! No I'm not!" The boy shouted repeatedly as he ran.
"You two..." Henrietta moaned out loud.
"That's my older brother, Diego." Carlos introduced Michael to his brother as he ran away.
"Cool guy..." Michael said.
"Más como un loco..." ("More like crazy...") Carlos muttered.
"What?" Michael asked.
"Oh, nothing!" Carlos said in a singsongy voice. Look, my sister said that my mom and dad will kill you because you're not a werewolf. Don't listen to her. As you already know, my mom's very friendly."
"And what about your dad?" Michael asked.
"Oh, he will kill you once he knows you're not a werewolf but a vampire." Carlos said as he unintentionally made Michael scared. "But don't worry! Just stick with me and I'll protect you the best way I can!"
Michelangelo gulped hard in fear as he thought of the scary pain Carlos' father could inflict on him.
**********
At dinner, Carlos were eating their steaks noisily and nervously while Michael was just looking at everything around him. Everyone else was eating normally.
"What's the matter, Carlos?" Carlos' dad asked.
"Wrong? Nothing's wrong! Why would you ask if something's wrong?" Carlos shook and stammered.
Then Henrietta noticed that Michelangelo wasn't eating his steak at all and never touched it with his fork or knife.
"Michael, you're not really touching your steak." Henrietta pointed out. "Don't you like your steak?"
"Yes, Mrs. Sanchez but I'm not really craving for steak right now." Michael said as he pushed his steak away.
"Well what are you craving for son?" Miguel Sanchez, Carlos' dad asked Michael. "Lamb chops? Chicken? Pork?"
"No. I could really go for just plain... blood." Michael honestly and accidentally said.
"Blood?!" Everybody except Michael and Carlos shouted out.
"Ha! Not only is he not a werewolf, he's not even human!" Alysia laughed out loud. "He's a vampire! Carlos brought home a vampire!"
Carlos sweated really hard and tried to get up from his seat and run away up to his room.
"NO!!" Miguel gotten up from his seat with anger. "YOU ARE NOT LEAVING YOUNG MAN! SO SIT YOURSELF BACK DOWN!!"
Carlos did as he was told and sat back down quickly. Miguel then turned to Michelangelo.
"As for you little vampire, you are in so much trouble!"
