After Michelangelo's dad Vinnard came home, Vermano decided to have dinner with his son, grandson, and his grandson's friends. During dinner, Michelangelo told Vinnard about his friends and why the door was knocked down.
"So, this is Carlos Sanchez?" Vinnard asked Michael about Carlos who was sitting across from him at the table.
"Yep," Michael said.
"Wow!" Vinnard said in pure amazement. "You've grown since the last time I saw you!" I guess that means you're not a puppy anymore, huh?"
"Yes, sir!" Carlos said with pride.
"Great!" Vinnard then turned and looked at Jennifer and Margret who were sitting across from Michael and Vermano. "Are these the beautiful girls you've been writing back to me about?"
"Yeah, dad. Dad, I'd like you to meet Jennifer and Margret, my girlfriend and my best friend (on the girl's side)." Michael introduced Jennifer and Margret to Vinnard. "And girls, this is my dad, Vinnard."
"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Vinnard." Jennifer and Margret said together in unison.
"It's a pleasure to meet two beautiful young ladies like you." Vinnard said to them and then kissed the back of their hands.
"Pleasure nothing!" Vermano said angrily under his breath. "Michelangelo, did you call Jennifer your girlfriend just now?!"
"Yes, grandpa." Michael said without hesitation. "I loved this girl for years. I was just waiting for her to say that she loves me back."
"This is an outrage!!" Vermano shouted in anger then pounded the table hard with his fist, nearly breaking the table in half.
"You're right, dad!" It's outrageous!" Vinnard seemed to agree with his father. "It outrageously good!"
"What?!" Vermano screamed in shock.
"It's great that Michael's found his greatest love." Vinnard said happily. He then turned to Jennifer. "So, you're not afraid of him?"
"No, sir. I never was." Jennifer said.
"Which is how you brought back his soul." Vinnard said with a smile. He then turned to Margret. "You're not afraid of him either, Margret?"
"No sir. I just didn't trust him as much; and after tonight, he helped my trusting go further down to the deep end." Margret honestly answered.
"Well, just give him a chance, Margret." Vinnard assured her. "He's worth trusting. He can be led astray from his path sometimes, I'll admit..."
Vermano glared evilly at his son as he kept talking to Margret.
"But deep down, this is one young vampire who has a trusting soul." Vinnard continued. "You just have to give him a chance."
Margret looked at the young vampire and smiled as he waved nervously with a smile. She couldn't help but laugh at his funniness.
"Yes, sir." She said with a smile.
"You know, I want to be the cool dad here," Vinnard explained. "How about since you usually call Michelangelo 'Michael,' why don't you call me, 'Vinny?' I don't usually like being called 'sir,' it makes me feel old!"
"Dad, you are old!" Michael groaned in embarrassment. "Being called 'Vinny' does not make you sound cool!"
"Actually, it does." Carlos disagreed with Michael.
"Whose side are you on, Sanchez?!" Michael asked Carlos.
"Don't worry about it, son!" Vinnard said to Michael. "I have good news for you."
"What?" Michael asked.
"I've been thinking in Transylvania that I've been so busy grieving over your mom's death so long, I've been thinking about being with her again. Vinnard said. "And I had a thought; "Hey! Michelangelo has his mother's soul within himself, so..."
"You're gonna stay with us?!" Michael asked in excitement.
"Of course!" Vinnard said. "And this time, I'm here to stay!"
"That's great, dad!" Michael said happily. "Sappy, but great!"
"Ugh!" Vermano growled. "Even though sometimes I really don't agree with you son, I must admit that you're right, Michelangelo does have his mother's soul."
Michael smiled as he thought that his grandfather finally loved him just for who he was.
"And that's the exact same reason why he'll never be a great vampire!" Vermano shouted.
Michael's smile diminished as he knew it was too good to be true.
"He's not only has the same dark brown skin tone as her, looks more like her, but he has the same thing she had: a soul!" Vermano then turned to Vinnard. "You never should have married the woman! Look at what an influence she's been to him! Now he'll never be a great vampire!"
Vermano then left the dinner table and went to his room in anger without looking back at them. His door slammed forcefully as the others were still at the table.
"Don't let old grandpa get to you, Michelangelo." Vinnard said to his son as he patted his back. "You're a great vampire you want to be."
"Thanks, dad." Michael said with a smile. "It helps when it comes from you."
"Oh, and it didn't help when it came from us?!" Carlos asked Michael.
Everyone laughed as they saw that Carlos looked very serious.
"Yeah, it did help," Michael chuckled. "But I really just needed to hear it from an adult I love."
"Oh, I get you..." Carlos said.
The Von Steins and friends enjoyed themselves as they had dinner together.
"I'm glad we're together again, dad!" Michael said happily.
"So am I, son." Vinnard responded. "So am I."
