The Sun's rays peaked through my eyelids, immediately blinding me. I whined slightly as I stuffed my face into the pillow, blocking out the light. I lifted my face, remembering what had happened last night.

Carl

I sighed to myself as I pushed myself up until I was sitting. I pulled the thin comforter off of my body and swung my legs over the bed. I then just sat there. I rubbed my hand over my temples, just thinking about what to do next.

Should I talk to him?

Ignore him?

Act like it never happened?

All these thoughts were rushing through my mind. I shook my head in frustration as I stood myself up. I leaned over and grabbed my flannel from last night. I gripped the sleeves as I tied it around my waist, finishing it off with a tight knot. Then, I slid my foot into each boot, looping the laces perfectly.

I walked to the bathroom as I noticed the dark circles under my eyes.  My body felt fragile and weak. I turned on the sink, letting the water run as I tucked my hair behind my ears.

I scooped my hands together, letting the water fill up as I splashed my face with the cold, liquid onto my delicate skin.

Eventually, I turned the tab, until I came to a stop where no water was running. I grabbed a new, clean towel, dabbing the excess water on my face.

I ran my fingers through my hair, releasing the tension of knots in my hair.

I finished up and then made my way outside. I stood on the porch, observing the sun that was still rising, while silence and a few voices was all I heard. Noticing only a small amount of people, I made my way to the main road.

I waved to a few people before I made my way around the corner.

My eyes scanned the left side of the road until I found the small first aid area.

I made my way up the bright, white porch. I knocked on the door, waiting for an answer. But all I heard was the breeze.

I sighed in disappointment. I turned around, heading my way back, until I heard the door creak open.

"You knocked?" Denise said. I slightly smiled as I turned back around.

"Yeah, I'm not feeling the best, I was wondering if you could check me up? Only if that's alright." I stated.

"Come in" Denise replied.

I nodded back as I went inside.

"Looks like you just have low blood sugar. Just make sure you eat and rest." Denise said as I was laying on the small bed. She came by me as she handed me a pillow.

"Here, get some rest, I'll be helping out there. Tell me if you need anything." Denise said while opening the door.

"Okay, thank you. Really, I mean it." I replied. Denise turned her head, giving me a grin back as she shut the door.
