I groaned, stretching my arms across the silk sheets. I roll over into my warm body pillow.
Strange. I don't remember buying a body pillow.
I rub my hands up and down the body pillow. I can feel something hard. Shouldn't pillows be soft?
I keep feeling it; my way of investigating.
All of a sudden, I hear a moan.
"Piccolo uno, don't do that." I heard a voice say.
I opened my eyes a bit to see that my body pillow was in fact a chiseled chest.
And my chiseled chest was in fact a body. A body that belonged to a jerk.
"What the heck?! Why are you in my bed," I screeched.
"Your bed? Babe, we're mates. We share the same bed. We're at that Alpha meeting. Remember," Valentino talked slowly, as if talking to a child.
"I'm not nine, genius," I snapped, looking over his shoulder at the digital clock on his nightstand.
The time of 9:42 was blinking back at me.
"Chill piccolo uno, breakfast doesn't start till nine o'clock sharp," he muttered as he snuggled his head into my shoulder.
What the heck? He wasn't this cuddly the last time we slept in a bed together.
Breakfast at nine o'clock. Its 9:42 now. Which means we're forty-two minutes late. I put my head back on the pillow.
Wait! We're forty-two minutes late.
I jerked my head up as soon as my late reaction kicked in.
I scramble up and run to the closet where my bags are.
"Victoria, what's the matter," Valentino groaned.
"We're forty-two minutes late jerkwad," I yelled.
He leaned up in the bed, rubbing his eyes, "What time is it?"
"Oh, I don't know. Add forty-two minutes to nine hours. "I snapped.
"Add another minute to it too," I added when I turned to look at the digital clock.
He quickly got out of bed, tripping on the lopsided comforter, falling on his face.
I sighed. Oh goddess.
I look over at him as he starts chuckling. "I still don't know why you're rushing. I'm not trying to make a great first impression. I'm the most powerful Alpha. If I'm not there, then they'll wait to eat. If I get down there and they're all gone, along with the food, then someone deserves to die."
I glare at him trying not to let out my anger. "Violence is not always the answer."
I grab the clothes I'm wearing from my bag, a lilac skater dress, and rush to the bathroom, slamming and locking the door.
Instantly, there was pounding on the door. "Unlock this door, Victoria. I can tolerate you slamming it in my face but I will not tolerate you locking me away from what's mine," he growled.
"Your's? Your's? I'm not an object. I belong to me, myself, and I!" I shouted infuriated.
'Maybe we should unlock the door,' Amber persisted.
'Where the heck have you been,' I mentally screamed at her.
'Watching. I've been watching. Now unlock the dang door before he kicks it down and marks us,' she snarled.
I look towards the door to see it come off its hinges and fly by me.
'Too late,' I squeaked.
I walked backwards seeing Valentino walk in through the door with black eyes.
'I don't mean to be rude, but I'm pretty sure that isn't Valentino. He's let out Blaze,' she giggles.
'Why in the Moon Goddess's name are you laughing? We could die!'
She continues giggling, 'Oh silly! Blaze loves us. He wouldn't hurt a bone on our body.'
That was the last thing she said before retreating to the back of my mind.
I look up from the ground to see 'Blaze' standing so close that I could hear him breathing.
I stand still against the wall hoping he wouldn't do anything drastic like Amber said he would.
He brings up his hand. I flinch as he caresses my face.
I felt sparks as our skin touched. And not those shocks you get when you rub your socked feet on the carpet then touch a door knob. No. Sparks like-this is cheesy and cliché-fireworks.
As his hand reaches my chin, he tilts my head up so he can see my face clearly. He then leans in towards my ear and I can feel myself getting breathless.
"Valentino, my mate, is lying to you," he rumbled, "It's the reason he's cutting you off, the reason he's shutting you out."
He let in a sharp intake of breath. I looked into his eyes to see them rapidly changing between black and brown, Valentino's eye color.
He's trying to gain back control.
Blaze sighed looking at my face. "Let me hear your voice one time, before he traps me back in his head," he smiled.
I smiled also. "Goodbye Blaze."
I watch as Valentino's brown eyes take charge instead of Blaze's black eyes.
Honestly if I had to choose, it would be Blaze over Valentino any day.
Valentino quickly moved his hand from under my chin and took a step back.
He looked to the ground and mumbled, "I- Uh... I'll let you get dressed."
I let him walk to the door before I added, "I can't get dressed in a room without a door."
He cursed under his breath and picked up the damaged door. He leaned it against the door frame in a way that he couldn't see inside unless he was at a certain angle.
I didn't get dressed until I couldn't see him through that 'certain angle'.
I smoothed the dress over my legs and walked out the bathroom.
I walked towards my bag and saw Valentino frantically going through his own.
I dig through mine and hand him a tie that exactly matches the color of my lilac dress. I knew he wouldn't get that tie.

Wow. I'm proud of myself. I didn't use any 'time jumps' in this chapter.
Her lilac dress above.
I couldn't help but feel this chapter was kinda........ Sappy.
Oh well
