I followed him down to the kitchen hoping- for the other Alphas and Lunas- that they were still in the dining room without the food being touched.

I'd hate to be that mate of a rampaging Alpha. Wait. Too late.

Before we could even get there, I could already hear the voices and sliverware clinking together. On top of that, I hear Valentino growling and I feel his oncoming rage through the mindlink.

Oh goddess.

He opens the dining room doors and starts laughing huskily. When people start hearing his laughter, they drop their silverware and let fear cloud their vision.

I watch as several Lunas grab hold of their mates' hands watching the apologetic look on my face.

"I see you've started eating before me," Valentino cold heartedly chuckles.

"Victoria."

I look to him shockingly to see him beckoning me forward.

I shake my head firmly. I have no intention of getting mixed up into this.

He warningly growls lowly at me. I look at him in anger and step forward.

He wraps an arm around my waist bringing me closer, "So Victoria. What foods seem to be for breakfast?"

I take a cautionary step forward looking at the long table.

"Um... F-french toast, fruit salad, and orange juice," I stammer.

"Correct, il mio amore. Now can you tell me two mistakes they have made."

I look at all of the people and their frightened faces.

I back up towards Valentino a bit and whisper to him, "Valentino drop it. It's okay."

Apparently that was the wrong thing to say.

"No! No it's not okay. You," he shouted pointing at some random Alpha, "What were the two mistakes you and your merry band of pups made? Stand up. Tell us the two mistakes."

The man stood up shakily. I tried to mouth to him my apologies but when Valentino noticed he was staring at me, he let out an earthshaking growl and the man looked away.

"U-um well, w-we didn't wait to e-eat with you," the man stammered.

"And...," Valentino snarled.

The man stood there in silence, shaking in his boots.

"No? You don't know," Valentino questions. "Who's the host Alpha here?"

The already frightened man raised his hand.

I mentally sighed. Oh lord. He has absolutely no good luck.

"Well, host Alpha. I recall that before I had even gotten here, I called you. I asked for a specific item to be placed in our room and on the menu at all times. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the item wasn't in our room and my il mio amore didn't name it on the table," he snapped.

The man stood still, then finally realized he should say something, "Uh... What was this item?"

"A small bowl of gummy bears," Valentino growled.

I gasped. A bowl of gummy bears? But... I've never told him about my obsession.

The man then rushed off, probably to get my treat.

I really need to figure out what his name is. I can't just keep saying 'the man'.

Valentino then pulled me over to two empty chairs at the front of the table.

I sat down as he started filling my plate with so much food, that it seemed like he's trying to get me fat.

I turned towards the Alphas and Lunas that had their faces angled away from us and whispered, "You may eat now."

I sighed as I dumped a handful of sour gummy bears into my vodka.

Valentino only let me have a little bit seeing as he doesn't want me to do something outrageous.

He and the other men are in a meeting and I was in there too until I got bored and decided to get a drink.

I turned around as I felt a pair of eyes on me.

It was a young guy who looked around twenty one. And... He was kind of hot. Even with that stupid smirk on his face. Though not hotter than Valentino.

He was leaning against a wall and I realized he caught me staring when he used his pointer finger to motion me over.

I looked over at the other Lunas to see them lost in their own worlds. I'm not even a Luna. This is sad.

I rolled my eyes and walked over to him. I leaned on the wall next to him as he turned to check me out.

I could hear Amber growling but I let him slide because he wasn't doing anything wrong.

His smirk got even bigger as he said, "What's a little thing like you doing waiting out here all alone?"

I nodded to the doors that concealed the Alphas from view. "Waiting for my mate," I replied looking over at him.

"An Alpha," he questioned, "Well I'm, Ryan, the to-be Alpha of this pack right here. The second most powerful pack in America."

I did a mock 'ooh'.

I honestly wasn't impressed seeing that Valentino was the Alpha of the pack that topped this one. The most powerful pack in the world.

"But we can still get together. You having a mate doesn't bother me if it doesn't bother you," he says with a small smile.

Just then the Alphas came out conversing and joyful. So I'm guessing they've forgotten about this morning and they worked out their problems.

Our last day is tomorrow, Wednesday. Which is the day meant for the Lunas meeting. Though again, I'm no Luna so...

Valentino claps another Alpha on the back, laughing huskily.

"Honestly, I think that guy is a jerk," Ryan whispered in my ear.

Well, he's kinda right about that.

Valentino scans the room looking for me and I can feel waves of panic slowly coming off of him in waves.

When he spots me, a breathtaking smile starts spreading across his face... Until he sees Ryan. Then his breathtaking smile turns into a 'breathgiving' scowl.

He walks over to us and I notice that Ryan still leans relaxed.

Valentino comes over to us and slithers an arm around my waist, kissing my cheek, "Hey il mio amore, who's this?" He narrowed his eyes at Ryan.

Ryan blinked back and forth between me and Valentino and nervously laughs before scurrying away.

Valentino looks at me with mock confusion, but you could see the smirk on his face, and asked, "What's up with him?"
