I stood next to Terence as we waited for Courtney to come from behind a tree.

I can't believe I'm seeing her again. It's only been a few days but it feels like forever.

"How do you know her," Terence questioned me, cautiously.

"She was one of my best friends from my old pack," I replied as Courtney came from behind a tree wearing sweats.

"Toria I missed you," Courtney practically screeched, tackling me to the ground.

Terence growled and pulled her off of me like the drama queen he is. "Don't hurt the Luna," he snarled.

Courtney stood still then started glaring at him. "I wouldn't tell me what to do if I were you. I'm the Luna's best friend and she'll have you thrown in the dungeons to rot," she sneered.

You go Glen Coco.

"Hey," I said trying to break up the fight. "Calm down guys. I'm not throwing anyone into the dungeons."

Though, I only broke it up so I won't have someone dead on my hands, and it wouldn't be Courtney if there was a fight. That girl can fight.

I started walking back to Valentino's house, then turned around to stare at them. "Are you guys coming," I asked.

"I need to finish up the patrol. I'll see you you later Tori," Terence mumbled before shifting back into his wolf and running off. Someone was mad...

"Come on Courtney. Let's go talk to Valentino."

She nodded, grabbed her duffle bag, and quickly followed after me.

(;)(;)(;)

I opened the front door yelling,"Bree are you home?"

Valentino walked down the stairs while glaring at me. "Stop yelling. It hurts my ears. My hearing is more advanced than yours," he hissed.

He looked at Courtney. "Who's the pup," he asked me, nodding his head at Courtney.

"What have I told you about calling my friends pups," I questioned him exasperated. He will never learn.

"We just wanted to ask you if Courtney can join the pack," I added.

He stared at her, scrutinizing her.

"No," he said curtly, walking towards the kitchen.

I quickly told Courtney to stay and rushed after him.

"Why not," I whined.

"Because I said so," he let out through clenched teeth.

"That's not a valid reason," I complained.

He whipped his head in my direction and started stalking towards me. Oh, cheese. I'm dead.

I started backing up with every step he took in semi-fear.

I took steps until my back hit the kitchen door. Dang it. Although I knew for a fact that if I scream, Courtney could hear me, but I'm not sure if she would be able to go against Valentino.

He put his arms on the wall on both sides of me and leaned in to where our foreheads were almost touching. I took in a breath and held it.

"Go to bed Dolce Cuore. It's late. We'll talk about your friend tomorrow. I'll have an Omega take her to a spare room," he growled out softly.

He placed his hand on my arm and I almost jumped in shock if the sparks. Psh, who am I kidding. There were no sparks. They were frigging fireworks.
