Cosmo & Surprises

"Ahh, oh my god! Are you serious?!" I screamed and Jenny smiled.

"Yes Maddie they called me this afternoon and said they love the portfolio we put together! They want you on the December Christmas issue!" I stood up from my makeup chair and ran over to her. I grabbed her into a giant hug.

"What does this mean now?! Where do we go from here?!" I asked and she sat down on the couch while I sat back down in my makeup chair. My makeup artist came back and finished putting the makeup on my face.

"Well we have a lot to work to do. Cosmo said that they want a sexy winter snow shoot. We have about a month and a half to plan this out. We need to shoot promo and get your gorgeous face out there."

I couldn't contain the excitement I was feeling. After everything that I've ever been through in my entire life, I finally found something that makes me smile every single day. I finally found something new that I love, and I haven't had something to love in a while...

"That is amazing to hear Jenn. I can't wait till we get started. What's first?" I asked excitedly and she laughed.

"Well first you have a Calvin Klein photo shoot tomorrow in New York and then we will be doing small shoots until the shoot for your December issue." Jenny said looking in her date book. "You are going to be a very busy girl Miss. Smith."

I slammed the door shut after I walked into mine and Bevin's apartment. "Bevin! Bevin! Come here I need to tell you something!" I screamed.

While waiting for Bevin I took of my coat and hung it up in the closet. I heard the bells from one of the cats but still no Bevin. I took it upon myself to run up the stairs and into her room. She was walking out of the bathroom with some grey sweatpants on and her favorite white v-neck. Her hair was wet and she was holding a towel in her hand. "What's all the yelling for?" she asked with a smile on her face as she set the towel in her hamper.

"Cosmo called Jenny today! They want me on their December Christmas issue!" I announced proudly and Bevin screamed in response.

"No way?! See I knew you would get it! Have you told Hannah?" Bevin asked and I shook my head.

"Not yet but I plan on calling her right now!" I grabbed my phone from my back pocket and ran out of her room. I heard he laugh as I closed her door. I jumped on my bed and sat down crossing my legs. The phone rang repeatedly and once I heard the phone being picked up I squealed.

"Hannah! You won't believe what happened to me today!" I heard her laugh throw the phone and some people talking on the background.

"What happened?" she asked.

"I am going to be on the cover of Cosmo in December!" I said and she screamed. I heard many curse words in the background.

"Are you serious?! That's amazing! I need to come out and see you soon! I haven't seen you in almost two years..." she trailed off sadly which made my heart drop.

"I know we've both been busy though Han. You've had school and I've had my modeling..." I said trying hard to focus on Hannah but I just kept hearing his voice in the background. I've pushed everything that has happened with Justin to the very back of my mind. I shoved it in a dark corner and I tried so hard to focus on my modeling and my future but I just can't.

I always pictured Justin in my future and just hearing his laugh and voice through the phone when I was talking with Hannah made my heart drop in more ways than one. I don't think I can hide from this anymore but I'm going to try to. It's been four years and I need to get over this completely.
