"Justin! You're seriously not out of bed yet! We have class in ten minutes! Get your ass up!" Hannah yelled and tore the blankets off my body. I groaned and sat up slowly.
"You're lucky I didn't decide to sleep naked last night!" Hannah rolled her eyes at me and walked out of my room leaving the door wide open. I wandered into the bathroom and turned on the shower till the room filled with steam. My muscles were so sore from practice that every limb felt like it was being ripped from my body.
It's been about two weeks since Hannah took me to see Madelyn in New York and even though it hurt like hell to see her and then later hurt like a bitch when she rejected me, I still couldn't get her out of my head. She wanted nothing to do with me and it's hard when you see people talking about her on TV and her face on almost every single magazine cover.
I mainly focused on hockey practice now; we had a big game coming up this weekend. I've been busting my ass everyday at the gym to keep my mind off of the emptiness that would disappear piece by piece every day.
"Justin I'm serious! You are my ride to class and I can't be late!" Hannah screamed and pounded on the bathroom door. Damn, she really needs to stop hanging out and talking to Madelyn all the fucking time. She's beginning to act almost exactly like her.
"Yeah okay Hannah I'm coming!" I yelled back and turned the water off. I opened the curtain and wrapped the blue towel around my waist. I glanced at my reflection in the mirror. My eyes glued to the initials I had tattooed on my arm. I never got the chance to tell her about them and know I need to go get them tatted over.
I opened the door and went into my bedroom; I put on a random pair of sweats and a black v-neck, along with a jacket.
By the time I got into the living room Hannah was standing against the door on her phone, tapping her foot impatiently. She had her black backpack hanging off her shoulders and unlike her, I just grabbed the books I needed and tucked them under my arm. Hannah rolled her eyes and looked at me.
"Finally," Hannah said annoyed. I chuckled at her annoyance and slipped my shoes on. I grabbed my keys and opened the door.
"After you grouchy." I laughed and she tried to hide a smile, but she failed miserably. I haven't been the only one missing Madelyn, Hannah has been too and I can see how it's affecting her. The difference between us is that Madelyn will talk to Hannah.
We drove to school and Hannah kept switching between her phone and the radio for music. "Hannah just pick one." I told her getting annoyed and she scowled at me. I swear she's like my younger sister and after knowing her for about five years, it definitely feels like it. She's always watching out for me and I've taken on the 'big brother' role in school too. Hannah is a beautiful girl and we all know how guys act when they see a beautiful girl.
"So Justin, I need to talk to you about something and I am not sure how you're going to respond. .." Hannah said capturing my attention immediately.
"Yeah, what's going on?" I asked looking over at her. She played with her hands sitting in her lap and then made eye contact with me.
"Madelyn was talking about coming back here after she's done with her shoots in Paris." Hannah said and I shrugged.
"So what's the problem then?" I asked her not understanding why she was so nervous.
"She would need to stay at the apartment Justin, her mom doesn't live here anymore and she despises her dad," Hannah stated. I thought for a moment. Maybe this would be a good thing. It would give us a chance to actually talk and for her to sit her cute little ass down and listen to me.
