Ch. 1 New Friends

《Keiko's pov》
I sat on the roof of a building as I looked over the city. It's been 4 years since I've lost my memories. They told me my family was killed by vampires. They never said anything about how I was still alive. And by they I mean the Japanese Imperial Demon Army.

A lot as happened to me these past years. I wanted to get my memories back and to do that, I had to find the vampire who killed my family. But for now, I would be a highschool student. I already had a demon weapon and was good at slaying vampires. Guren told me to make some friends.

The one thing I didn't know how to do. I sighed as I left the roof of the building and headed to class. On the way there, I met with a sweet purple haired girl. "Yo Keiko." She said. "Hey Shinoa. Why are you here?" I asked her.

She frowned. "I have to watch over this kid that got himself suspended from the army for being reckless. He has to make some friends and learn about teamwork." She replied. "That's gonna be annoying. Later." I said and left the hallway.

I put on my hood the moment I entered class. Guren gave me orders to keep the hood on at all times during school. I didn't know why but I just did it anyways.

I had to sit through the entire lecture. It was absolutely boring. I kept looking out the window and the teacher scolded me and told me to pay attention. After class, I sat alone in class. I layed my head on the desk, hoping for the day to be over.

Then someone tapped me on the shoulder. "Um Hi." A voice said. I turned and saw a guy wearing headphones. "Hey." I said in a flat voice. Then I looked away. I had no real intention of making friends.

I got out of my seat before he could say anything else. Then I left the classroom. I saw Shinoa with a black haired kid. He did look like a reckless kid. I waved at her and she waved back then followed the boy through the halls.

I heard chanting outside on the school grounds. I headed outside and saw the same boy that tried to talk to me on the ground. In front of him were a couple of delinquents, who looked ready to fight. The students surrounding them kept chanting the word fight.

I sighed and I couldn't stop myself. I was already pushing through the crowd. I stood in front of the delinquent boys. "Hey, what are you doing?" I shouted at them.

They looked amused. "You must be the other new transfer student.
What are you going to do then? Try and stop us?" The leader of the group said. I gritted my teeth. The leader ran forward to land a punch on me but I moved to the side and dodged.

He smirked tried to hit me. I grabbed his hand then flipped him over.The crowd gasped. They must've been suprised that a girl like me could fight. One of the other guys ran forward and tried to kick me. I ran to the side of him then behind him.

Before he could turn around, I grabbed his arm and twisted it around his back. The last guy tried to land a fist on me but instead he hit my hand. I grinned. "That didn't hurt at all." I said then punched him in the stomach before he could react.

I turned and held out my hand to the boy. He grabbed it and I pulled him to his feet. I noticed that everyone was staring at me. The boy said, "That... was...awesome! You've got to teach me how you do that."

I smiled. "Maybe some other time. First let's get out of here." I said and I pulled him out through the crowd and away from the school grounds. I knew we weren't supposed to leave but who cares?

The boy smiled at me. "Thanks for saving me back there. I'm Sora Iragi."

"I'm Keiko. Just Keiko." I said. He laughed. "Well its a pleasure to meet you, Just Keiko." I laughed along with him.

When we stopped laughing, I asked him, "Why were they picking on you anyway?"

He was suddenly intrested in his shoelaces. "Well... I usually have to bring them lunch money every day. But I forgot to today. " He nervously chuckled.

I sighed. "You've got to be stronger then that." He seemed very fragile. "I know. But why are you just Keiko?" He asked.

I was about to answer when there was a loud noise, like a bomb. An announcement came on. "A vampire has escaped from a nearby facility center. Please do not approach the vampire even if you see it. "

What's a vampire doing at the school? I had to go and get Guren. I ran towards the school, where a crowd of students were pouring out. I pushed through them.

When I escaped the crowd, I grabbed my Demon Weapon from my locker. I found Guren looking up at one of the school building. He immediately told me to put on my hood. I heard a window crash. The same dark haired boy Shinoa was watching over fall out of the window with a vampire.

I was about to run forward and help but Guren stopped me. "What-" I was about to say but he shook his head. I obeyed his commands and watched as the boy cut through the vampire. He had a normal weapon. I sighed as Guren walked forward and finished off the vampire.

Shinoa was next to me. "Yuichiro Hyakuya. That's the boys name." She smiled at him. "I'm sure he'll get his Demon Weapon in no time."

When I turned back to look at him, a brown haired kid was on him. I giggled then walked away with the rest of the Moon Demon Company. I noticed he stared at me for a few moments before Shinoa and the brown haired kid took him away.

《Yuu's pov》
Yoichi kept hugging me. "Please get off of me. " I said and stood up. I looked around at the members of the Moon Demon Company.

I noticed someone wearing a hood. I could see some of her hair outside of the hood. She talked to Shinoa for a second them turned around and left. She looked familiar. No, that would be impossible.

I tried to inspect her a little closer but Yoichi and Shinoa took me away. "Hey, Shinoa, who is the girl with the hood?" I asked her.

"Oh her. She's just a friend. An amazing fighter as well. She has her own Demon Weapon too. Well more like two." She replied and giggled.
