《Keiko's pov》
As we walked down the stairs, Shinoa informed us on the vampires. "Based on her information, there are eight vampires. So we're going to raid them now when their likely to be sleeping." She said. "Don't break formation, protect each other, and don't get separated."

We stopped at the bottom of the stairs. There were civilians sitting near the walls. They all wore white clothes that I thought I had seen before. Mitsuba turned to another tunnel. "We're going straight to B3 where the vampires are supposed to be." She said.

"If the vampires aren't here, then why won't they escape?" Sora asked, looking at the people. "Because it's crawling with monsters outside." I replied. "They're getting protection from the vampires in return for giving them blood. That's why we're going to save them."

We stooped in a area where the ground above us in one small area caved in. The lights were flickering. We were all alert. A vampire wearing a white cloak appeared. "Everyone, prepare to attack!" Mitsuba ordered and brought out her battle axe. I pulled my necklace and took out my twin swords.

Before Mitsu could say anything else, Yuu jumped out and attacked the vampire. He pushed his katana through the vampire and it dissapeared. Mitsuba walked forward and started scolding Yuu for acting on his own.

Then I noticed a vampire coming up behind her. Yuu pulled her back and stopped the sword the vampire was using to strike. "I waited four years for this kind of thing!" Yuu shouted and sliced the vampire in half.

"I knew he was strong, being Lieutenant Colonel Guren's favorite." Shinoa admitted. "But I didn't know he was this strong." Kimizuki said. "Not as strong as me, though." Yuu stepped forward. "What? I dare you to show me what you're made of." He said.

I sighed. "Rivals, like you two." I looked at Shinoa and Mitsuba. "What do you mean?" Mitsuba asked. I giggled. "Just kidding." Shinoa said to Mitsu, "They're both Lieutenant Colonel Guren's favorites, troublemakers not fit for teamwork. Perhaps that's why he wanted you to train them." Mitsuba shouted at the boys. "Come on, we only have 5 more vampires."

We walked around the caved in area and continued towards the vampires. We stopped at a dead end, the wall covered in glass. We all turned around. "Here they come." Mitsu said. We all took out our Cursed Gear. But we didn't expect for them to appear behind us.

The glass behind us broke and vampires stepped out. One of them grabbed my neck. I struggled to breath. "Nine vampires? That doesn't... match the information... What going on?" I breathed out. "Information from whom?" The vampire choking me asked.

I thought back to when the child wanted to help us. I realized now that she had been crying. "You used a child to..." I started. "Humans are ugly. They'll easily betray their own kind if their friends or family are taken hostage." The vampire said.

I couldn't turn my head but from what I was hearing, Yuu rushed forward and a vampire blocked him. I heard an arrow shoot a vampire but I don't know where. I heard two swords clashing against one.

I turned my head a little and was able to see what was going on. I saw Sora swing his chained scythes like nunchucks and swing them around a vampire's neck, then slice it's head off.

"No." I said quietly. Yuu was fighting two vampires. He got cut twice on his leg and arm. "Don't please." I said. I think back to what had happened to me a year ago.

In my old squad, a noble had attacked us. I had fallen, my swords far away from me. My only best friend sacrificed herself when the vampire was about to kill me. Our squad leader had killed the vampire after her sacrifice.

I look as Yuu attacked the vampire and grabbed me. I stared at him. "What did you say?" Yuu said after he put me down. "Humans are ugly? They're scum that betray their own kind if their family is taken hostage? You know us very well. True, we will to anything for our family."
