Ch. 8 The Worst Way to Reunite

《Keiko's pov》
As we walked through the the subway, I asked Yuu, "What was he like, Mika?" He turned to me. "Well, even when we were stuck in that city, he was always smiling. He put his family first and was very kind." He replied.

"If I ever got all my memories back, I'm sure I would miss him as much as you do." I said. He smiled. Soon we found the stairs leading up and found the tent for the injured soldiers.

"Let's go." I said after checking on Corporal Nagai. "What about the Corporal?" He asked. "It's alright. He'll live." I replied. "I see, I'm glad to hear that." He said.

As we headed for the defense lines, I informed Yuu. "Guren is at the intersection of West Shinjuku Fifth Street fighting the vampire's main forces. He needs us ASAP."

"If we crush them, then we'll win, right?" Yuu asked. "I'm sure they're thinking the same think, vice-versa. Let's hurry up and join the others and head to fifth street." I replied.

As we passed, we overheard someone talking about sending most of the soldiers to the defense line. Then we heard them talking about five kids from the Extermination Unit. Yuu walked up to them.

"By Vampire Extermination Group, did you mean the Moon Demon Company?" Yuu asked. He continued before the man could reply. "Were there two girls and three boys?" The soldier nodded. "Where are they?" I asked. "At Shinjuku Central Park."

"We'll go over there. Send the squads to the defense line, ok?" Yuu ordered them. He gave orders and never follows given orders. I smiled as we left for the park.

On our way there, I kept thinking about my past, how my memories were somehow returning. Yuu, Mika, maybe if I tried hard enough, I could get all of my memories back.

As we hurried over to the park, we could see that they were outnumbered. I ran over and stopped a vampire from killing Sora. "Keiko?" He stared at me. I grinned. "Who else?"

Yuu and I started killing the rest of the vampires. "Where are the enemy troops?" Yuu asked. "There's none. You killed the last one." Kimizuki replied.

"Well damn you guys. That was awesome!" Yuu exclaimed. I giggled. I couldn't help myself calling him, "Baka Yuu." He looked at me. "Who are you calling an idiot?" I didn't reply.

We ran over to the defense line. All of us noticed a vampire standing in front of Guren. Everyone, take a pill!" Shinoa ordered as we ran towards the vampires. I swallowed a pill and hurried after Yuu.

I nearly stopped running when I saw a vampire stab Guren right above his heart. "Guren!" I shouted. The vampire was turning around when I realized who he was. His blonde - white hair and blue eyes, it was completely obvious.

I stood in shock as Yuu was about to stab him. "Yuu, wait! That's-" I was cut off by the sound of Yuu stabbing the vampire. As I turned to see Yuu, I could tell he finally realized that the vampire was Mika.
