Sam's POV:

I managed to get a ride from a taxi driver. He charged me way too much for the ride but I didn't argue with him because I would be stuck in the streets if I didn't get a ride. When I walked into the house, it was quiet and dark. I turned on the lights.

"James.." I called out. Then that's when I heard yelling coming from downstairs in the basement. I made my way to the door that led to the basement.

"I want you to end him, no bullshitting around anymore if you don't fucking take him out you're dead!" The yelling echoed the whole house. I slowly opened the door, James was standing in the middle of the room, next to a table with bottles of alcohol next to him. Some of the bottles were smashed to the ground. I noticed there was piles of papers on the table.

"James are you okay.." I hesitantly asked. His head shot up at my direction. His hands were dripping with blood.

"Why the fuck are you here" he said lowly.

"I know you're mad at me for what happened in the restaurant but I swear it wasn't planned I didn't even know he was gonna do that"

He chuckled, "how stupid do you think I am Sam? Huh how fucking stupid am I!" His yelling caused me to flinch.

"I didn't--"

"And you had the nerve to do it right in front of me? You know how embarrassing that is for me? Are you trying to make me look like a fool?" He let out a loud yelled and he took a glass from the table and threw it my way. Luckily I dodged it before it could reach me.

"What is going on with you this isn't you" I slowly backed up.

"Don't tell me who I am! You don't know me, you'll never know! Nobody does" he pulled the ends of his hair. He was starting to scare me a bit. It's like he was possessed or something. I couldn't even recognize him.

"I loved you Sam, I loved you so much you obviously you don't know how much you mean to me" he whimpered. "I loved you" he kept repeating.

"I do know James" I took a step forward. I placed a hand on his shoulder. "I know you love me and I love you too"

Without no warning, his large hands took a hold of my neck. I was starting to lose my breath. He started choking me. "If you loved me you wouldn't of kissed that fucker, I trusted you Sam but you let me down just like everyone else"

"James I can't breathe" I struggled to let out my words. But his grip became tighter.

"I told you to stay away from him but you ignored me, well this is what you have to face when you ignore my words" he growled. "But don't worry your boyfriend gonna be out of the picture for good and we can live happily together" he's way out of his mind right now. He smirked at me as he watched me struggle to get out of his grip. Yeah he's psycho.

"Our life gonna be so good once we get married, Jason won't bother us, we're gonna have a big house, maybe raise another kid together, it'll be everything we ever wanted" he whispered.

He finally released me when I kneed him in the stomach. He dropped to the ground. "Im never gonna marry your crazy ass" I spat at him. I quickly ran back upstairs.

"Get back here bitch" he called out. I didn't have any time to waste. I closed the door behind me. I heard his footsteps after me. I grabbed my keys and phone. I went out the door momentarily. I got into my car and locked the door. Before I started the car, I quickly dialed Jason's number. Please pick up. It took me straight to voicemail. I tried again. Still went to voicemail. I groaned with frustration. James then came out the house. His cold eyes stared right at me. I grabbed my keys and jabbed it into the ignition. He started banging on the windows. My heart was racing and my mind was scrambled.
