Grace's POV:
"I need you to stay here" Jason ordered as he grabbed his keys and made his way to the door. I was curious to know where he was going and why I wasn't going with him.
"Wait where are you headed" I said following him to the door.
"I need to handle a few thing I'll be back in no time" he said. Oh no. The last time I was left alone I ended up getting kidnapped, I don't want to experience that anymore.
"I'm coming with you" I said. He stopped me before I could walk out.
"You're staying here it's safer here and besides the thing I'm about to do is gonna get you into a whole lot of trouble" he said.
"What if James finds me again and kidnaps me I don't want that to happen" I argued.
"I won't let that happen okay?" He cupped my face and kissed my forehead. Funny how he said that last time and guess what he did? He let it happen. Arguing with him wasn't gonna get me anywhere so I had no choice but to stay behind.
"Where's mom? Is she safe?" I asked. It's been so long since I've seen or heard from here. I already miss her yelling and annoying attitude.
"She's perfectly fine you don't need to worry about her I got everything covered, now stay here and don't open any doors until I call you" he carefully instructed.
"Fine" I rolled my eyes. He said his goodbyes and gave me a last hug and kiss on the forehead. I watched him head out the door and drive off in his car. I locked the doors in the loft and windows. This place had no security whatsoever so basically anyone could get in if they tried. This didn't seem like a bad neighborhood that had freaks crawling all over the place so I had nothing to worry about. I laid on the couch and turned on the TV. I entertained myself by watching some episodes of Greys Anatomy. I haven't watched this show in so long, so it was the perfect time to catch up with everything.
An hour passed by and I was still on the couch. Jason hasn't gotten back yet or called, maybe he was still busy with his little duties. It's actually weird to me that he never told me where he was going. I just hope he isn't doing anything stupid like going back to that warehouse or even worse going after James. Little did he know James had a whole army of workers, the trained workers. I've seen what they do to people and it's not pretty at all. I just hope Jason is careful.
My phone vibrated in my pocket. I was hoping it was Jason but it was a private number. I pressed ignore and placed it back into my pocket. Suddenly I heard a noise of things being knocked down in the kitchen. My heart and body froze.
"Hello? Jason" I called out. Nobody answered.
My phone vibrated again. Private number was still displayed on the screen. I accepted the call and placed the phone in my ear. Nobody said anything, just a loud heavy breathing filled my ears.
"Who is this?" I said. Afterwards they hung up. Strange. I slowly got up from the couch and turned off the TV. I was too scared to even check the noise in the kitchen. I'm not gonna be dumb enough to actually try and check I might end up dead or something. In every scary movie, the curious ones always get killed first, I'm not going down that road.
My phone vibrated again, I sighed, what does this person want from me. When I checked my phone screen it was Jason. Praise the lord. I quickly answered.
"Hey where are you you've been gone for hours" I said.
"Grace I need you to leave the place now!" He yelled from the other end.
"What?" I said. The noise in the kitchen continued.
"Grace do you hear me, leave now! I'm outside!" He continued to yell. Two men dressed in white masks walked out of the kitchen, I swear at that very moment I almost had a heart attack. I screamed and dropped my phone to the ground.
