You were just a mermaid under the sea. But it just so happens that you were royalty. And not just any royalty, you were the only female in the royal family of Atlantica. Your appearance is quite different. Like kids saying that they are the black sheep in the family through the surface, you were the black mer-creature in the royal family. That's right; you have black shells and a shimmering black tail. You were the youngest of the family and your brother? It's Arian. You and Arian were like two peas in a pod. You were closer to him than the other brothers and your mother. You were hidden from the world because your mother made the excuse that you were a miscarriage so it was just the sons and that honestly upset you. You have your own room in the castle where no one goes through except Arian for when he checks up on you. When people are gone in the castle except for the chefs that is when you come out of your room. It was saddening because Mariana (Sebastian), Flounda, and Arian were your only friends. Then you looked out your window that faces the kingdom before you and you see couples and families walk around with smiles on their faces. And then it hits you like a tsunami. You were alone and would be alone because of your mother and the fact that she is too much of a guppy to actually tell their people of their youngest princess. You also felt unloved because you thought that your mother focused more on her sons than her only daughter. You felt as if you were a ghost and that no one would ever notice you. But soon enough that would change because a certain sea creature would take interest in you.

You were inside your room one day and it was dark as night. Everyone was asleep, except for you of course. You had a light stone in your hands (like the one in the Mortal Instruments movie.........don't judge). You decided to make a break for it. You decided to explore some part of the ocean. You looked around inside and outside your room to make sure that no one is there to catch you. You then swam out the hole that represented your window. Once out you felt different. You felt that you weren't confined to being a secret anymore. It felt great. Using the light stone you guided yourself through the ocean, admiring such beauty that was held before you. As you were swimming and looking about your surroundings, two eels with a glowing eye that is opposite of each other were looking at you. And through them was Ursulan, the sea warlock that was banished from the kingdom. He noticed you before and took interest. He looked at you like you were a rare jewel, he wanted you and what he wants, he'll get. He wanted to keep an eye on you, knowing now that it is your first time out of the castle. Soon enough he would make his presence to you known. But in a different scenario. And that scenario involves your brother and his newfound love, a human girl from the surface.
