Genderbent Merida from "Brave" Final Part

So guys this is the last chapter to this short story. I am now back in school which means that I have to set up multiple completed drafts and then post them so please bare with me. Now if you remember from the last time that I have updated, it was the festival that you have dreaded since the beginning. It was the festival. Now you thought that Meriden wasn't going to get interested in this right? WRONG! His eyes were set on the princess of Ireland, Elaine. Throughout the whole festival his eyes were set on her. She impressed him greatly. It was to the point that during the feat that was after the whole festival, they were talking and laughing and shit. You were reasonably upset so you ran to the garden and cried. He found you and you both argued. At this point the thought of being a mistress was out the window. It was either he chooses her or you. Then Elaine found out that she had competition. She then made him choose. He marries Elaine or else she reveals to the court that he has had a relationship with a maid. In your mind you thought that he would choose you. But again you were wrong as he said that he was going to marry her. And now you are all caught up.

You looked at him in shock. Right in front of you he said that he would marry Elaine. He chose her instead of you. Yes he wanted to spare your reputation but out of all things, this hurt you the most. If needed be you were willing to spoil your reputation if it meant that you were going to be happy with him. Hell he even said it himself that he would run away with you or not take the throne. But sadly that didn't happen. Your eyes filled with tears and he held an emotionless face. Elaine had a smile on her face. She knew that she won and she had him all to herself. You held your head up and walked away. You got back to the castle and the party was still going on. The king saw you and stood up. He saw your face and he knew that his son has made a huge mistake. You walked away from the dining hall and went to walk to your chambers, not knowing that the king was behind you. Not that you didn't care at the moment. You just had your heart broken and the only thing that you could do right now was not fall down and sob in front of people. You then got to the door of your room when your body broke down and you started to sob on the floor. The king then rushed to your side and held you as you cried.

"I am so sorry lass. I never knew that he would do something to break you. Come, you can talk to me while I make tea" he offered (and yes he can make tea. deal with it). You nodded, still crying. He picked you up slowly and then guided you to a private room away from the crowd. He then made you sit down in a chair and put a blanket on you. You just stared into space as he lit a fire and then mad some tea. You didn't pay attention to anything until he shoved a cup of tea in your face. You took it and just sipped it. He then took his own cup and sat down.

"Now tell me what happened to you lass" said the king. And so you did. You took a deep breath and poured your heart out. You told him how Elaine gave the ultimatum. When he chose your relationship's fate by marrying Elaine, anything and everything. He was silent the whole time as he listened to you. He kept thinking how stupid his son was and how he was going to regret everything.

"Lass I am so sorry. You must be in pain right now" he said and you nodded. After you cried you couldn't trust your voice. Then there was a knock on the door. It was Meriden, Elaine, and the queen. The queen had a smile on her face while Meriden and Elaine held hands. You looked down.

"Honey I was looking all over for you. And Lady [Name} why aren't you at the feast?" the queen asked. You looked up and met hurt eyes. You got up and placed the teacup down. But before you could say anything the king stepped in and made an excuse for you.

"She wasn't feeling good, dear. I was just helping her out" he said and you nodded in agreement.

"Well if you aren't well then you can go back to your chambers hon" the queen exclaimed. you nodded. But before you could leave the queen spoke.
