"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday to you!," everyone sings.
They start to clap, and Sage is now one year old.
"Yay!," Mrs. Archer grabs Sage's hand and claps them together to let her join in with the clapping. Sage smiles happily, overjoyed with of the people around her.
"Look Sage, it's now time to blow out your cake," Mr. Archer walks toward Sage and teaches her how to blow out her candles.
"Like this," he puckered his lips and pretended to blow out the candles. Sage copies her father and everyone smiles in awe at how adorable Sage looked trying to blow out her first candles on the cake. Mrs. Archer smiles then blows out the candles for her.
Mrs. Archer puts Sage down and sits her down on her pink booster seat. She takes out the cake knife and starts slicing pieces of the cake for the guests.

"Meredith, what a lovely daughter you have," a man with a deep low voice says as he holds the plate with cake in his hand."Joe, what are you doing here?," Mrs. Archer face turns from happiness to horror. She turns to look at him, frozen, as she stares at him in shock.
"Meredith, I just wanted to see your kid," he walks up to Sage who's playing with her cake, which is now all over her face. Vanilla icing covers her nose and cheeks.
"Stay away from my daughter!," Mrs. Archer exclaims running towards Sage to hug her, and keep her far away from the monster that was before her.
"Look at her dirty face. Just the way I like it," Joe says with a disgusting smirk.
"You perv, she's only one! Get away from her! If you make one more step I will call the cops," she threatens him, picking her daughter up. Anger is blazing off Meredith.
Joe puts his hands up in defense and backs away.
"Alright, alright- but she won't be one years old forever," he starts to walk away exiting the Archer's house. Sage starts to cry for no apparent reason. Mrs. Archer notices and hushes Sage and pats her head.
"It's ok! Sage, it's ok. Everything's going to be fine. We'll protect you." and knew in her heart that she'd keep her daughter away from that monster. Even if it killed her.
((note: who is this "Joe" you ask? hmm. you'll see i guess))
