"Phillip! Come here!" Mrs. Archer yells to get her husbands attention.
"What happened?!," he rushes in, catching his breath as he enters his daughters room, prepared for anything.
Mrs. Archer turns to him and smiles,
"She said her first word."
The determination that was previously on his face was replaced with pure joy. His mouth opens widely in shock.
"Little Sage said her first word! What can you say?" He stares into Sage's deep dark blue eyes, waiting for a response.
"M-Ma P-Pa," Sage stutters. They both smile in awe and for the rest of the day they teach her more words.
