~ Three Years After Phillip's Death ~
Sage's POV
"I hate middle school, if this isn't stressful enough, I'm not prepared for high school next year," I drop all my notebooks into my locker.
"Hey, I hear freshman year isn't that bad, don't stress yourself out. You're a smart girl, you'll figure things out," Rosie cheers me up, she's been there for me since I was 8, I'm so glad I have her, without her I would be stressed as fuck with my problems at home and in school.

It's now lunch time but since our school is a small town with lots of little shops, students can get out of school to buy their lunch. I meet up with Rosie as I head out of my class.
"So, pizza for lunch? We can go to that pizzeria a few blocks from here."
"Um, ya, sure," I take out my phone and headphones and open up Spotify. Rosie looks over my screen and watches me play my Panic! At the Disco playlist.
"There's this new kid in my class, his name is Connor, literally all that came into my mind was Connor Franta." Rosie is only obsessed with youtubers and bands because of me, I basically talked about it 24/7 until she got tired of being confused about what I was talking about, so she started to watch most youtubers.
"TRONNOR!," I yell out, she ships Troyler which I highly disagree with.
"Don't even get me started Sage, TROYLER," I let out a laugh remembering our dumb little fights we have debating about Tronnor and Troyler.

"I'll have a slice of pepperoni pizza and a coke."
"Um, pineapple and ham, and also a coke," I order. We both pay half then we take a seat near the window. I start gazing outside then start daydreaming, still listening to my music. Rosie then jumps in front of me making me jump almost knocking over the table with my knee.
"AH! Ugh- don't do that," Rosie starts to laugh.
"What were you daydreaming about this time?," she smirks at me, I know exactly what she was talking about.
"For the last time Rosie, I don't fancy anyone," I haven't told her I'm demi-bisexual yet.
Rosie rolls her eyes and I see her look over her shoulder looking at this boy near the counter. I turn around to see who she was looking at. He had a denim jacket on with black skinny jeans, he had fringe, light brown hair, and was tall."Looks like Dan Howell," I touch Rosie's shoulder trying to get her attention.
"Wha- what? Oh, ya, haha," I could tell that was a fake laugh, she sits up and starts sipping out of her coke can.
"What's up with you?," I ask a bit concerned. Rosie looks over at me and puts her coke down.
"Oh, that's Connor, the new guy I was talking about earlier." I just slowly nod.
"Rosie don't tell me you-," she interrupts me saying the words I was going to say.
"Isn't he attractive?," Rosie asks.
"Uh...," in my mind he honestly just reminds me of Dan Howell.
"Oh come on, don't tell me you don't find him cute," Rosie tilts her head, I shake my head.
Me and Rosie finish our slices of pizza, we check the time realizing that their is 8 minutes of lunch left, we hurry out of the pizzeria and start speed walking down the sidewalk. We walk in silence not thinking of what to talk about, we then hear wheels scraping on the concrete making me and Rosie turn around, it was the new guy on a skateboard, we watch the skateboard roll over a pebble making Connor loose his balance causing him collapse to the ground. Me and Rosie turn our heads and face each other, we know exactly what we are both thinking right now, we help him get up.
