I woke up in the morning with the sun in my face and Jack's body pressed against mine. I nuzzled my face into his neck, then I heard his chuckle. He must've already been awake.

"Good morning." He whispered.

I groaned and he chuckled. He turned in my arms, so he was facing me. He tried to kiss me, but I turned my head. He chuckled again.

"Wake up." He complained.

"I can't... words."

He laughed. "Shut up. We have to get ready for school."

"Shit, we have school."

"Yep, we do. You gotta go home and get dressed."

I groaned, hiding my face in his hair. "Let's not go."

"I have my chapter test today, I can't skip."

"Ugh, that's right. Just come over when you're ready to go."

He nodded, then I went back to my house. I changed into dark green skinny jeans, a red, orange, and white flannel, a blue sweater over it, then straight black Converse.

I did my hair with my gel, then got my stuff and went downstairs. Jack was on the couch with his phone and he looked up when I walked down.

He had on blue skinny jeans, white t-shirt, red and black flannel, light brown cardigan over it, and black shoes. He stood up with a smile, giving me a kiss.

"Ready to go?"

He nodded. We got into my car and I started driving to school. He took my hand in his, running his thumb up my hand. I looked over at him, quickly, and he was staring at our hands playing together.

"So..." Jack started.

"So what?"

"We're not telling anyone?"

I gripped his hand a little bit. "I just feel like our friends would feel left out."

"I don't like PDA anyways, Matthew. The most we would do is hold hands. They wouldn't feel left out."

I looked over at him again and I nodded. "Okay, we can tell them."

He smiled, leaning over and kissing my cheek. I parked the car at the school and got out. We got our bags, then we linked hands.

"Oh, yeah. There's a pack meeting tonight." I told him.

"About what?"

I chuckled. "You know I can't tell you."

"Hey, I'm gonna be alpha alongside you, so I kinda deserve to know."

"Oh, shit. That's right. I haven't even thought that far."

"Well-"

"Woah, what the hell is going on?" Parker asked when we stepped up to his locker with Forest right behind him.

I looked down at Jack, who was blushing a bit. I knew he wasn't going to say anything, so I did. "We're mates."

"How do you know? You aren't 18 yet?" Forest asked.

"There's an elder that can, like, put you through this quest to see if you're mates with someone. Even though we're not completely matured yet, we can still somewhat feel the pull of the mate."

"Well, we're happy for you two." Parker said, closing his locker.

"That's it? No jokes?" I asked, squeezing Jack's hand.

"Mates aren't a joke, Matthew." Forest said.

I smiled. "Good. I'm glad you two think that way."
