29. You called me old

"What is that smell?" Devin mumble as she is sitting on my lap. Trying to open her heavy eyes.

"It's turkey." I chuckle before I lean in to kiss her forehead.

"Oh." She laugh of herself.
"My grandparents are coming later to celebrate with us." I tell Devin so she is aware and she nods with a smile. Can't wait to see them again. I have not been good to visit Luke and Rachel, but I should do it more often. Ethan comes into the living room with his screaming baby. I smile as he looks at Devin, begging to help him. She jumps right up and take the little girl into her arms. Smiling as she finds her way out of the living room.

"If you don't marry her one day, then I do it." Ethan says falling down on the couch next to with a big sigh. I laugh of his words.

"She is mine, and you are way too old." I say as I hit him on the shoulder. He raises his eyebrow.

"She is only four years younger than me." I inform him, annoyed.

"No, I didn't mean it like that. You called me old." He says offended, which cause me to snort.

"I don't care how old she is. Devin is great, Andi. As I said if you don't marry her, I do it." Ethan laugh as I stand up from the couch.

"She is mine!" I yell, smiling as I run up the stairs. Stepping into the bathroom before my bedroom. Finding my girl asleep next to Lindsey. I can't but grin of the cute view. This time it was the little girl, that made the big girl fall to sleep. I lie down next to them, stroking Lindsey's cheek, which makes her smile. Devin needs sleep. She sits up in the middle of the night, singing to this little one and then just wake up at six in the mornings. No wonder why she is so sleepy all the time.

It's not long before my grandparents will show up and I can feel the butterfly's in my stomach. I am standing look out the window as I am waiting. They have my gift to Devin, and I know she will love it with her whole heart.

"What are you doing?" Devin laugh lightly as she comes behind to lay her arms around me.

"Waiting." I smile as I lean back to kiss her cheek.

"For what?" She wonder and then I see some lights outside.

"For that." I smile as I get out of her embrace and take on my shoes to run out to my granddad.

"Did you fix it?" I ask and he nods with a bright smile.
"Thank you, thank you." I say so happy as I hug him.

"Come in after a minute, just need to do something first." I say as I run back inside so excited.

"What are you doing?" Devin ask me so confused, but I grab her hand in mine to make her stand with her back to the front door.

"Noting." I smile as I wrap my arms around my girl's waist and lean in to kiss her, deeply. Using as much time as I can take her attention away from the door.

"Andi?" She mumbles against my lips. I cup her cheeks and look behind her. Devin watches me in confusion, but turn to look at what I am seeing.
