(Emmys POV)
We approached the massive white doors, slowing down a bit as they opened suddenly, revealing a tall woman. She wore a pink gown that brushed the floor when she walked, embroidered with tiny crystals similar to the ones that made up the tiara that sat atop her mass of golden curls. She giggled a tinkling laugh that made her blue eyes sparkle, her hot pink lips curled up into a smile, as she waved us towards her. "Why, hello there! Welcome to my kingdom."
"Pardon the intrusion your majesty." Edmund bowed low to her earning a curtsy in return. "I'm Edmund, King of Narnia. This is King Caspian, Lady Emmy, Queen Lucy, and High Queen Maggie."
"My, my." The woman sighed as she paced towards us slowly, swishing her hips hard as she went. "A group of royals all the way from Narnia, did you say? How interesting."
"Is this the Northern Kingdom of Oz?" Caspian asked, stepping forward a bit and averting his eyes as the woman batted her eyelashes at him.
"It most certainly is. My name is Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. How can I help you all?" She twirled the see through sash that was draped around her arms loosely in her fingers as she waited patiently for our answer.
"We're looking for a witch by the name of NessaRose." Edmund explained, frowning as her posture changed sharply, straightening her back and raising her chin.
"NessaRose. Why would you be looking for her?"
"If you wouldnt mind just pointing us in the right direction we'll be on our way. If its not too much trouble of course." Maggie smiled sweetly.
Glinda faked a laugh, tossing a bit of hair over her shoulder. "Im afraid Nessa is out of commission for a while. Can I take a message?"
The venom in her voice made me inch back a bit, narrowing my eyes as I noticed her glancing behind us periodically. I slowly turned my head and couldnt help the gasp that escaped as a few cornstalks rustled near by. I nudged Edmund gently, causing him to break his stare and turn to me, nodding my head towards the corn.
A high pitched grunt rang out just he turned around, drawing everyone's attention to the large, nearly man sized monkey that leaped from behind a corn stalk, landing with thud on its hands and knees. It grunted loudly again, scratching its unnaturally long claws in the dirt, staring up at us with blood red eyes and fangs that spilled over its lips. The thing that caught my attention more than anything though had to be the wings that closely resembled those of a griffin that began to spread out from its back.
"Ah, so you've met my little pet." Glinda cooed, waving the monkey over and patting its head gently with her finger tips.
"Her experiment." Lucy breathed to herself. "You did that to Fieyro."
"Fieyro?" Glindas head shot up, staring holes into each of our heads. She seemed to compose herself quickly, shaking her head and focusing on Edmund once more. "No matter, King Edmund, allow me to ask once, and only once, more. Come inside, wont you all? Or do I have to speak more clearly?" Her voice grew deeper with each word sending shivers down my spine.
As soon as she noticed all of our oppositions to her request she pulled a silver wand from behind her back, aiming it at us, but before she had the chance to speak the 'experiment' we encountered on the road pounced from out of nowhere, snatching the wand from her grasp and landing on the other side of the monkey. We all stared in shock as the monkey charged at him suddenly, chasing him in the opposite direction. Only then did it occur to me that he was leading the monkey away from us, giving us the chance to escape.
"Run!" I exclaimed, gripping Edmunds hand as we all fled from the wicked woman behind us. We ran as hard and fast as we could, our ears filled with the sound of blood pumping, blocking out her painful cries in the distance. We ran until we could no longer the see the wretched castle behind us, or the woman who resided there. We ran until the screech of the name 'Fiyero' quite literally died on the witches lips.
