Chapter 6

I currently sat in the back of Stiles' Jeep, Scott and Stiles in front of me as we drove into the school parking lot.  I didn't want to be here, I didn't want to be near Stiles at all, but I wasn't about to let them confront the Alpha on their own.  I might be mad, but I wasn't stupid enough to let them get themselves killed.

I hadn't said a word to Stiles the entire ride, and was only talking to Scott which seemed to really piss Stiles off. "I said I was sorry, okay!  I'm sorry I didn't notice that guy who grabbed you, and I'm sorry for letting Scott get beat up, but he healed!  Can you please stop ignoring me?"

I continued to frown angrily and didn't respond, even though I was beginning to feel guilty.  Stiles had been trying to help Scott when I got attack and he didn't end up seeing the guy who had his hands on me until it was too late to do anything because Harris showed up.  I knew he had a good reason, I just couldn't find it in me to care so I turning my head towards the window defiantly.  Stiles sighed angrily and got out of the car along with Scott and I followed behind them slowly.

"This is a terrible idea." Stiles said as we stood behind his car.

  Scott nodded. "Yeah, I know."

"But we're still gunna do it?"

"Can you think of something better?" Scott asked.

Stiles scratched the back of his head. "Well, personally I'm a fan of ignoring a problem until eventually it just goes away."

"Just make sure we can get inside." Scott said.

Stiles opened the back of the Jeep and proceeded to take out a flashlight and bolt cutters.  I turned as another car pulled up and admired the sleek frame. Damn, Derek's got a nice ride.  "He's here." I said and crossed my arms, hating that I didn't bring a jacket.

We approached the car as Derek got out. "Where's my boss?" Scott asked.

"He's in the back." Derek said, closing his door.

We all looked through the window and stared at the man who was tied up and unconscious in the back seat.  I whistled. "Oh, he looks comfortable."

Scott and Stiles proceeded to walk towards the school and Stiles grabbed my wrist, tugging me along.  I shot him a glare and pulled my wrist away, beginning to walk on my own.

"Hey!  What are you doing?" Derek called out to us.

We stopped. "You said I was linked to the Alpha." Scott said before we began to walk up to the school again. "I'm going to see if you're right."

We made our way to the office soon after that and stood around the receptionist's desk. "Okay, one question.  What are you going to do if the Alpha doesn't show up?" Stiles inquired, raising an eyebrow as he moved to mess with the intercom.

"I don't know."

"What are you going to do if he does show up?" I interjected.

"I don't know."

I groaned. "Great."

"Alright," Scott said to Stiles. "You said that a wolf howls to signal his position to the rest of the pack, right?"

"Right, but if you bring him here does that make you part of his pack?" Stiles asked him.

A look of concern crossed Scott's face and he whispered, "I hope not."

"Yeah, me too." Stiles muttered as he picked up the microphone and put it closer to Scott. "Alright.  All you."

"You've got this Scott." I said and he nodded before clearing his throat.
