Peggy was up bright and early the next morning. Surprisingly actually because she was up late last night telling Angie a half truthful story of her vacation.
Peggy got dressed in warmer clothing on account of the freezing New York weather. She grabbed her pocketbook that held her gun and left the manor.
As she got to the Telephone Company, Peggy hoped that things would be different, all things considered. She did get to help with the Dottie Underwood case. She hoped she could do more.
Everyone was bustling around so whatever they were assigned to do. Peggy walked to her station and set her pocketbook on the desk. She started to take off her coat but Jack stopped her. "Marge, your with me."
She caught up to his pace as they started leaving the building. "May I ask why?"
Thompson sighed as they both jumped into the squad car. Thompson driving and Peggy in the passenger side. "Down my the wharf, where the Heart Break was..."
"Yes?" Peggy acknowledged nudging him to go on.
"There's a boat loaded with volatile material. No one ones what's in it. But there's also a 'man' the President said. Tall, white hair, muscular. President wants him dead. So shoot, to kill." Thompson finished his story pulling up to the dock. "Stay sharp."
Peggy and Jack split up and vigilantly scouted the area. Peggy found footprints and bent over to check them out. Something cold wrapped around her neck suddenly. She gasped as she elbowed whoever it was in the face. He tumbled backward. Amateur.
