Chapter 09: Surpises

The next morning Sophia woke up feeling her legs tangled with Ashton's and his hands wrapped around her waist. Trying not to wake him up, she untangled her legs from his and tried really slowly to unwrap his hands from around her. Ashton, then, groaned and turned to the other side of the bed doing a favour to Sophia. She, then, stood up from the matress and put on her glasses so that she could see what time it was.

'Oh shit! It's eleven o'clock.' she thought when she saw the numbers on her phone's screen.
"I'm going to kill this guy..." she whispered while glaring at him and left her cell on his bedside table before going to the bathroom. When she was done with brushing her teeth and doing her bathroom routine she felt her stomach grumble, so she decided to explore their kitchen. After she went down the stairs and went inside the kitchen she started looking for food in the cabinets.
'Plates... not edible.' she thought when she opened the first cabinet, moving to the next one. 'Nope, glasses are not edible either...'
When she had opened almost every cabinet in the kitchen, finding half of them empty and the other half so messy that even if there was some food in there she wasn't able to see it, she heard someone coming down the stairs.
'Thank god! I'm going to eat now...' she thought then and opened the fridge to look for food in there as well.

"Wow...!" Calum, who had just walked into the kitchen, said, taken aback. He had just found a half naked girl inside his kitchen. Let's just say that he was kind of surprised.

"Yeah, good morning to you too!" Sophia scoffed and turned to face him. "Could you please tell me where the heck you keep the edible stuff?" she said then. "I'm looking for something to eat for the last fifteen minutes and I cannot find anything in the cabinets and I'm kind of starving!" she said while throwing her hands in the air, forgeting about her lack of clothes.

Calum was surpised and pleased all together but mostly confused.

"Could you please tell me what are you doing here, almost naked and why are you not home?" he said when he had finally realised that he wasn't dreaming.

"Do I have to actually explain everything in detail or do you want a five-word answer?" she asked and crossed her arms in front of her chest.

"I just want it to make sence..." Calum said and sat on a chair. "By the way... There's some cereal in that cabinet and some milk in the fridge." he said while pointing at a small cabinet that Sophia hadn't noticed before. "There are bowls in the cabinet next to the fridge... Oh! And also could you make a bowl for me too, please?" he smiled then.

Sophia just rolled her eyes and took two bowls from the cabinet, filling them with milk and cereal. She then sat on a chair across from Calum and passed him one of the bowls.

"Ashton was going to the Super Market yesterday, wasn't he?" she said and Calum nodded. "Nice. When I finished work and I was on my way home, I found his car pulled over on the road and him doing something on the hood, so I pulled over as well to see what happened. Turns out that his car was broken so I drove him to the Super Market and then he told me to sleep here." she said and ate a spoon from her cereal.

"Woooooow... Wait... First of all, since when do you know how to drive and since when do you own a car and second, I thought you and Ashton didn't really work out... since when are you two... you know... doing naughty stuff. And why didn't we hear anything last night?" Calum asked surprised.

Sophia almost choked on her cereal after what Calum had just said.

"You're going to choke me!" she said and placed her bowl on the table. "Firstly, I know how to drive since I got my license and my parents got me a car for my birthday last year. Secondly, you did not hear anything last night because we actually did NOT do anything last night and there's no chance we're doing anything any other night... got it? I kinda had a fight with Irene and because Ashton was being really kind last night he suggested that I should sleep here." she finally said.
