Chapter 28: I'll miss you

"How far is it yet?" Sophia asked the young man next to her.

"We're almost there..." Ashton said absent-mindently, keeping his focus on the road.

"When you say almost...?" she asked then.

"Sophia! Enough! When I say almost I mean almost. Stop stressing! It's going to be just my mum and siblings." Ashton said annoyed.

"Yes, Ash! It's going to be your mum and siblings who have never met me before and I need to make a good impression!" she said mimicking Ashton's annoyed tone.

"Can you pretty please explain to me why does making a good impression matter so much? Why does it matter if my mum and siblings like you or not, when I do? I don't care if they're going to like you or not or their opinion about you or anything! The only think that I care about is MY opinion about you and not everyone else's. So, stop freaking out for this crap because my mum will love you and even if she won't I'll continue being with you and I'll still believe that you are one of the best people in my life and one of my best decisions! And. Stop. Freaking. Out. Because I love you." he explained.

"A-Ashton... I... Don't... Ugh... When you are right and I have nothing else to say to you, you get on my nerves so much!" she said slightly laughing.

"Does that mean that you'll stop asking me when we'll be there every two minutes?" he smiled.

"Nope. I'll keep on annoying you untill we reach your mum's house." she said and she flattered her eyelashes.

"I'm going to leave you here if you do..." he threatened.

"Hm... Nice offer. I'm accepting it. This is how I'm going to get away from meeting your family." she said and then laughed.

"You're not getting away with it! I'm going to tie you on the top of the car..." he laughed.

"I could still annoy you though... I'll be screaming and kicking at the top of the car... And someone might see me and call the police and then you're going to get arrested and go to jail and such..." she smiled.

"Aha... We're here." he said and pulled his car over to park it.

Sophia looked at him terrified. She had gone completely pale and she could barely breath.

"Sophia?!" Ashton said worried when he noticed how pale she was. "Are you okay?" 

"Y-Yes..." she shuttered

"Sophia... Look at me." he said and pulled her chin to his side to make her look at him. "What did I say to you earlier?" 

"T-That you were going to leave me alone at around one kilometer away from your h-house if I wouldn't stop talking?" she said with a shaky voice.

"Earlier than that?" Ashton sighed.

"How far your mum's house is?" she said.

"Not that earlier." he scoffed.

"That I shouldn't be freaking out because you don't care what everyone says about me and I shouldn't care either but I do and now I'm really nervous and I don't know what to do. I don't even know what I'm going to tell her Ash! I'm not ready, I knew I shouldn't have agreed to this... Oh god, what am I going to do now? It's your fault! Of course. You made me come here! You and your threats. 'If you don't come I'll stay here with you' blah blah blah...! Why are you doing this to me? Do you ever think about me and my feelings? Have I ever told you that I have anxiety? Yes! Of course I have... Everyone knows! Have I ever told you that I have asthma attacks when I get nervous as well? OF COURSE I HAVE! But no... You make me come here and I get nervous and then I have a panick attack and an asthma attack and then POOF! There goes my good impression! And the fact that I've hurt my head and I shouldn't get so stressed didn't even cross your mind, right? Of course it did not. And where the fuck did you put my coat? How am I going to go out without it? It's too cold! It's freaking December! UGH!" she rumbled.
