Chapter 14: Secret mission

"Sophia..." Calum whispered shaking Sophia's shoulder.
"Hey, Sophia... Wake up."

Sophia just turned her back at him and continued sleeping.

"Come on Sophia... Get up. You need to go to your bed. You'll destroy your back if you sleep on the couch." he spoke again trying to get Sophia, who had fallen asleep while they were watching TV, up.
'Ugh... The things I do for you...' he thought and took her in his arms, bridal style, to take her into her bedroom.

She, then, placed her hands on the base of his neck and her head on his shoulder. Calum went slowly up the stairs so that he wouldn't wake her up and started looking for Sophia's bedroom. He opened the first door he found and tried to understand if it was Sophia's bedroom. 
'Uhm... nope... That's Irene's...! Definitely!' he thought when he noticed one of Luke's t-shirts on top of the bed and got out of the room.
He turned on the opposite way of the hallway and saw another door which was half open and guessed that this should be her bedroom. He got in the place and walked until he reached the bed, placing Sophia on it softly. He then took the folded blanket she had on the bottom of it andcover her with it so it could keep her warm. After he made sure she was asleep, he kissed the top of her head, wishpered a good night to her and headed to the door.

"Cal...?" she said hoarsely and opened her eyes to confirm it was him.

Calum turned to face her.

"Yeah...?" he said.

"Where are you going?" she asked and propped herself up on her elbow. 

Calum smiled.

"I'm going home." he said.

"Oh. Okay." she said disappointed and turned to face her hands.

"What?" he asked when he noticed her mood change and moved closer to her.

"Oh... Nothing." she shrugged.

"And why did you get so moody when I said I was going home?" he said smiling and sat on the edge of the bed, next to her.

"Cause I don't want to stay alone." she said and tears threatened to escape her eyes.

"Hey!" he said when he saw the liquid leaving her eyes and hugged her. "What happened now?" he said and lifted her face up, making her face him.

"Oh god." she said and whipped her tears. "I'm so selfish. Go home. You need to rest. I can do it on my own. I always think about what I want. Of course you want to go home! What was I thinking?" she said and smiled awkwardly.

"No, I'm staying with you until you feel okay. I promised." he said and layed next to her pulling the blanket over him.

"You must thing that I'm such a baby right now..." she said and covered her face with her hands.

Calum crossed his arm over her shoulders and pulled her to him. Sophia looked at him from the openings her fingers where making and laughed making him chuckle as well.

"Thank you." she told him and dropped her hands, looking at him properly.

"No problem!" he smiled. "And yes, you are a baby, but when babies sleep they don't cry or make noises so it would be a good idea if you slept." he said mockingly. 

Sophia gasped and hit him softly on his chest.

"I'll make you sleep on the floor without a blanket!" she told him laughing and layed down turning her back at him.

"Okay. I take it back. You're not a baby." he said and layed down behind her, placing his arm around her and bringing her closer to him.
"Good night." he said then and kissed the back of her head.
